Arewacin Najeriya wani yanki ne da ke yankin kasar Najeriya wanda rabin dayan bangaren shi ne Kudancin Najeriya,Yankin ya samu 'yancin kansa ne daga kasar Birtaniya, sannan ana danganta yankin har da arewacin ƙasar Kamaru wanda turawan, mulkin mallaka na Ingila sukaiwa mulkin mallaka.

A shekara ta 1967, an kasafta yankin Arewacin Najeriya zuwa yankunan Jihar Arewa maso gabas, Jihar Arewa maso yamma, Jihar Kano, Jihar Kaduna, Jihar Kwara, Jihar Benue da Jihar Plateau, Jihar Katsina, Jihar Borno, Jihar Niger ko wacce jiha da gwamnan ta.
