Boko Haram. Haƙiƙanin sunan wannan ƙungiya shi ne Jama'atu Ahlus sunnah Lidda'awath wal-jihad Mabiya Sunnah ta Annabi Muhammad dan Da'awa da Jihadi ( Arabic : جماعة اهل السنة للدعوة والجهاد Jamā'atu Ahlus Sunnah Lidda'awatih wal-Jihad ), amman anfi saninsu da sunansu na Hausa watau "Yan Boko Haram". Ƙungiya ce ta 'yan jihadi dake da cibiyarta a Arewa maso gabashin Najeriya. Suna adawa ne da dokokin da ba na Allah ba da kuma kimiyyar Zamani. A shekara ta 2002 wani mutum da ake kira da Muhammad Yusuf ya ƙirƙiri ƙungiyar kuma suke son tabbatar da Shari'ar Musulunci a Najeriya. Hakazalika, ƙungiyar Boko Haram ta yi ƙaurin suna kan kaiwa kiristoci da ma’aikatar gwamnati hare-hare da dasa bama-bamai a coci-coci da Masallatai.

Tun daga shekarar 2009 hukumomi a Najeriya suke yaƙi da ƙungiyar ta Boko Haram wadda tayi sanadin mutuwar dubbannin mutane tare da lalata dukiya ta miliyoyin nairori.

Rundunar sojin Najeriya dai ta sha cewa tana yin iya bakin ƙoƙarinta don shawo kan matsalolin tsaro a jihohin arewa maso gabas da ke cikin arewacin ƙasar wanda rikicin Boko Haram ya ɗaiɗaita, amma har yanzu Boko Haram,na da tasiri.

Rikicin wanda aka faro a jihar Borno dake arewa maso gabas ya fantsama zuwa makwabtan ƙasashe kamar su Nijar da Chadi da kuma Kamaru. Gwamnatin shugaban Najeriya Muhammadu Buhari da rundunar sojin ƙasar sun sha yin iƙirarin karya lagon Boko Haram,sai dai har yanzu mayakan ƙungiyar na ci gaba da zamewa ƙasashen yankin Tafkin Chadi barazana.
