Siddiq Abubakar III
Sir Siddiq Abubakar III, KBE a shekarar (1903–1988) ya kasance shugaban musulmin Najeriya. Ya yi aiki a matsayin Sultan na Sokoto tsakanin shekarar 1938 da 1988, shi ne mafi tsawo mulki Sultan na Sokoto.[1][2]

Ɗan Mu'azu, ɗan Usman Shehu, jika ne ga Mu'azu kuma, ta hanyar sa, ɗan gidan Usman Dan Fodiyo kai tsaye. Abubakar ya kasance magaji ne na ƙarni na huɗu ga karagar mulki da aka kafa a ƙarni na biyu wanda kakansa, Sheikh Usman Dan Fodiyo (1754-1817) shugaban makarantar Malikiyya ta Islama da reshen Qadiri na Sufanci ya kafa.[4]
Abubakar ya kuma yi karatun Islamiyya. Ya riƙe muƙamai da dama kafin ya gaji kawunsa, Hassan Ibn Mu'azu, yana da shekara 35. Ya kasance marubuci a gundumar Dange tsakanin shekarar 1929 da 1931 kuma an naɗa shi Sardaunan Sakkwato a watan Fabrairun shekarar 1931. A matsayinsa na Sardauna, ya yi aiki daga Sakkwato, yana cikin aikin yanke shawara na Hukumar 'Yan Asalin Sakkwato da kuma kula da gidajen yari da sassan' yan sanda. A watan Yunin shekarar 1917, aka naɗa shi Sarkin Musulmi.
Ya rarrabe kansa ta hanyar iyawar mulki, da ƙwarewar gudanar da ɗaukaka ƙara daga kotunan gargajiya, da kuma kyakkyawan kulawa da hakimai da shugabannin ƙauyuka. Abubakar ya taka muhimmiyar rawa wajen magance tashin hankali a Sakkwato bayan kisan Ahmadu Bello, Firayim Ministan yankin wanda ke riƙe da muƙamin Sardaunan Sakkwato, yana kwantar da hankulan mutanen da ke son tashin hankali. A shekarar 1984, lokacin da aka cire wani ɗan Sokoto, Shehu Shagari daga mulki, Abubakar ya yi wa’azin zaman lafiya a tsakanin masarautar da kuma alakarta da sabuwar gwamnatin. Kotun sa ta sadaukar da lokaci da ma'aikata don mayar da hankali kan walwala da matsalolin al'ummar sa, tare da aiwatar da al'adun gargajiyar da Uthman Dan Fodiyo ya gabatar.
A ranar 18 ga watan Yulin shekarar 1974, Shugaba Moktar Ould Daddah, wanda ke ziyarar aiki a Najeriya, ya ziyarci Sultan Abubakar, wani ɗan malamin addinin Islama, kuma aboki tare da Janar Yakubu Gowon .
