Farida Mzamber Waziri an haife ta ne a ranan 7 ga watan Yulin shekarata 1949 kuma ta girma a Gboko, Jihar Benue . Ta samu digirin ta ne daga Jami’ar Legas kuma ta sami digiri na biyu a fannin Shari’a daga Jami’ar Jihar Legas . A shekara ta 1996, ta sami digiri na biyu a fannin Ilimin Kimiyya daga Jami'ar Ibadan.[1] She is the author of Advance Fee Fraud, National Security and the Law.[2] Ita ce mawallafin Advance Fee Fraud, Tsaro na kasa da Shari'a .

Farida Waziri ta shiga cikin rundunar 'yan sanda ta Najeriya a shekara ta 1965, kuma ta hau matsayin Mataimakin Sufeto Janar na' yan sanda. Shugaban EFCC

A yayin da kwamitin majalisar dattawa ke bincike ta game da hukumar EFCC game da cin hanci da rashawa, ta musanta cewa ta tsaya matsayin tsohon gwamnan jihar Benue, Sanata George Akume lokacin da ake tuhumarsa da rashawa.[4] Shugaban kasa Umaru Yar'Adua ya tabbatar da ita a matsayin shugaban EFCC a watan Mayun shekarar 2008, amma ya ki amincewa da matsayin har sai majalisar dattawa ta tabbatar da shi.[5][6][7] Nada wa wannan matsayi mai rikitarwa rikitarwa ne.[8] Jim kadan bayan nadin nata, Waziri ya binciki wuraren da ake tsare da EFCC don tabbatar da yanayin wadanda ake zargi.[9] A watan Satumba shekara ta 2008 Waziri ya ce zargin cin hanci da rashawa na tsohon shugaban kasa Olusegun Obasanjo da wasu tsoffin gwamnonin jihohi ba za a iya tallafawa ba saboda fayilolin ba su kasance ko sun bace ba.[10]


A watan Agustar shekarar 2008, Hukumar EFCC ta kama tsohon Mataimakin Shugaban Jam’iyyar PDP Bode George a Legas kuma ta gurfanar da shi tare da wasu mutane hudu a kan tuhume-tuhume 163 na hada baki, rashin biyayya ga doka da oda, cin zarafi a ofis da kuma zargin ba da kwangiloli na haramtattun kudaden da suka kai biliyan N84. yayin da yake shugaban hukumar NPA.[11] A watan Oktoba 2009, an samu Bode George da laifi kuma aka yanke masa hukuncin ɗaurin shekaru 30 a kurkuku.[12]

A watan Afrilun 2009 Waziri ta ce hukumar ta EFCC tana shirye-shiryen kwato tsohon Ministan Babban Birnin Tarayya Mallam Nasir El-Rufai daga Amurka don fuskantar tuhuma. Ta kuma ce Shugaban kasar ya amince da dawowar ga rundunar ‘yan sanda ta Najeriya ta fuskar inshorar inshorar da ke wani bangare na Naira biliyan 17 da aka kwato daga hannun tsohon Sufeto Janar na‘ yan sanda Mustafa Adebayo Balogun, duk da cewa Alhaji Tafa Balogun na neman dawo da wadannan kadarorin. Ta ce kararraki 200 da ke gaban kotu na cin hanci da rashawa, satar kudi, zamba, satar danyen mai da kuma lalata bututun mai. [13]

A watan Yunin 2009, yayin da take magana a wani taron manema labarai don bikin cika shekararsa ta farko a ofis, Farida Waziri ta ce hukumar ta EFCC na ci gaba da kokarin ta na gurfanar da tsoffin gwamnoni ciki har da Dr. Peter Odili na jihar Ribas, Sanata Bola Tinubu na jihar Legas, Ayo Fayose na Ekiti. Jiha, Joshua Dariye na jihar Filato, Saminu Turaki na jihar Jigawa, Jolly Nyame na jihar Taraba da Michael Botmang na jihar Filato . Sauran wadanda ake tuhuma da bin sawun sun hada da Sanata Nicholas Ugbane da tsohon Ministan FCT Nasir El-Rufai. Ta nuna takaici a jinkirin kotu a wadannan shari'o'in. Shugaban kasa Goodluck Jonathan ya cire Waziri daga mukaminta na ikonsa a ranar 23 ga Nuwamba 2011, kuma a ranar 28 ga Nuwamba 2011 aka maye gurbinta da Ibrahim Lamorde a matsayin mukaddashin shugabanta Korar tasa na da alaƙa da zargin da hukumar EFCC ta zaba a bincikensa,[18] ko kuma don ta bayyana ne tare da Ministan Shari’a kuma Ministan Shari’a, Mohammed Bello Adoke kan batun karar da aka shigar a gaban kuliya. An kuma yi zargin cewa Waziri ta iya gurfanar da bincike game da karkatar da kudaden ga tsohon gwamnan jihar Bayelsa, Timipreye Sylva.[19] A wasu halaye, kamar yadda ya shafi tsohon gwamnan jihar Edo Lucky Igbinedion, kotun ta zartar da hukuncin sakaci.
