Manjo Janar Mohammed Jega ya kasance gwamnan soja a jihar Gongola ta Najeriya tsakanin watan Maris na shekara ta 1976 zuwa Yulin shekara ta 1978 a lokacin mulkin soja na Janar Olusegun Obasanjo, da kuma tsakanin watan Janairu na shekarar 1984 zuwa na Agustan 1985 a lokacin mulkin soja na Janar Muhammadu Buhari.[1]

Jega ya riƙe muƙamin kwamandan birgediya na 6 na shiyya ta biyu, Onitsha, da kuma babban kwamandan runduna ta biyu na mechanized na sojojin Najeriya, Ibadan.[2][3] A wa'adinsa na biyu a matsayin gwamna, ya rufe galibin makarantun da gwamnatin farar hula ta gwamna Abubakar Barde ta kafa saboda ƙarancin ƙasafin kudi.[4]

Bayan ya yi ritaya, Jega ya taka rawa sosai a zaɓen sarauta a cikin 1980s.[5] A ranar 5 ga watan Yuni, 2005 aka naɗa Jega Sarkin Gwandu[6][7] a Jihar Kebbi, ya maye gurbin Alhaji Mustapha Jokolo.[8]
