Bandele Omoniyi (an haifeshi ranar 6 ga Nuwamba, 1884 – ya mutu a shekarar 1913) [1] ɗan Najeriya ne mai kishin kasa wanda aka fi sanin sa da littafinsa A Defence of the Ethiopian Movement a shekara ta 1908, ya buƙaci yi masa sauye-sauyen siyasa a ƙasashen da suka yi wa mulkin mallaka, yana mai gargadin cewa in ba haka ba juyin juya hali na ƙasar Afirka na iya kawo karshen mulkin Birtaniya.[2] A cewar Hakim Adi, yana ɗaya daga cikin misalan farko na dalibin Afirka ta Yamma mai fafutukar siyasa a Biritaniya.[3]

An haifi Bandele Omoniyi a birnin Legas, a Najeriya a yau, kuma iyayensa sun sayar da filayensu don biyan kuɗin karatunsa a Burtaniya, inda Omoniyi ya fara zuwa a shekaraa ta 1905. Ya shiga Jami’ar Edinburgh a shekarar 1906, don karantar ilimin shari’a, daga karshe ya daina karatunsa yayin da ya ƙara tsunduma cikin harkokin siyasa gadan-gadan, inda ya rungumi aikin jarida mai adawa da mulkin mallaka a cikin littattafan gurguzu, Scotland da Najeriya. [4] Ya rubuta wa 'yan siyasar Birtaniya daban-daban, ciki har da Firayim Minista, Henry Campbell-Bannerman, da kuma shugaban jam'iyyar Labour Ramsay MacDonald nan gaba, yana neman wakilci ga 'yan Afirka a yankunan da suka yi wa mulkin mallaka.

A cikin a shekarar 1907 Omoniyi ya soki mulkin mallaka a cikin jerin wasiku zuwa ga Mujallar Edinburgh. Ya kuma rubuta labarai ga jaridun Afirka ta Yamma, kuma a 1908 ya buga babban aikinsa, A Defence of the Ethiopian Movement, a Edinburgh, yana sadaukar da shi "ga 'Yan Majalisar Dokokin Biritaniya Mai Girma da Girmamawa".[5]

Daga baya Omoniyi ya koma Brazil a wajajen shekara ta 1910, inda daga bisani aka kama shi kan harkokin siyasa. Ya ƙi yarda da taimako daga Ofishin Jakadancin Burtaniya.[6] An ɗaura shi, ya kamu da cutar beriberi kuma ya mutu yana da shekaru 28.[5]
