An gudanar da ayyuka a cikin laterite,ƙasar Afirka ta yau da kullun da ta ƙunshi yumbu da baƙin ƙarfe.Ramin ya haifar da zobe mara daidaituwa a kusa da yankin tsohuwar masarautar Ijebu,yanki mai nisan 40 kilometres (25 mi) fadi a arewa-kudu,tare da bangon gefen bishiyoyi da sauran ciyayi,yana mai da ramin ya zama koren rami.

Wasu sun danganta Bilikisu Sungbo da tatsuniyar Sarauniyar Sheba,wani mutumi da aka ambata a cikin Littafi Mai Tsarki da kuma Kur'ani. A cikin Littafi Mai Tsarki na Ibrananci,an kwatanta ta da cewa ta aika da ayarin zinariya da hauren giwa da sauran kayayyaki daga mulkinta zuwa ga Sulemanu.A cikin Alkur’ani ita ‘yar kasar Habasha ce mai bautar rana da ke sana’ar turare da ta musulunta ;masu sharhi sun kara da cewa sunanta "Bilqis".
Bayan binciken da aka yi a shekarar 1999 an jiyo masanin ilimin kimiya na kayan tarihi Patrick Darling yana cewa, “Ba na so in wuce gona da iri kan ka’idar Sheba,amma ba za a iya rage ta ba. . . . Mutanen yankin sun yarda da hakan kuma shine abin da ke da mahimmanci . . . Mafi yawan gardama akansa a halin yanzu shine soyayya."

Eredo ya yi amfani da manufar tsaro a lokacin da aka gina shi a shekara ta 800-1000 AD,lokacin da ake fama da rikicin siyasa da hadin kai a dajin kudancin Najeriya.Mai yiyuwa ne a samu kwarin gwiwa daga irin wannan tsari da ya kai ga gina irin wannan katanga da ramuka a duk fadin yammacin Najeriya, ciki har da aikin kasa a kewayen Ifẹ̀,Ilesa,da Benin Iya, mai 6,500 kilometres (4,000 mi)jerin abubuwan da aka haɗa amma daban-daban na ƙasa a cikin yankin masu magana da Edo makwabta.An yi imanin cewa Eredo wata hanya ce ta haɗa yankin al'ummomi daban-daban zuwa masarauta ɗaya.Da alama masu ginin waɗannan katangar sun yi ƙoƙari su isa ruwa na ƙasa ko yumbu don ƙirƙirar ƙasa mai fadama don ramin.Idan ana iya samun wannan a cikin zurfin zurfi,masu ginin sun tsaya, ko da a zurfin mita 1 kawai. A wasu wurare an sanya ƙanana, gunki gunki a ƙasan ramin.
Zamanin zamani
gyara sasheGirma mai ban sha'awa da hadadden ginin Eredo ya ja hankalin kafofin watsa labarai na duniya a cikin Satumba 1999 lokacin da Dr Patrick Darling,masanin ilimin kimiya na kayan tarihi na Burtaniya sannan tare da Jami'ar Bournemouth, ya binciki wurin kuma ya fara tallata kokarinsa na kiyaye Eredo tare da kawo wurin shahara.A baya can,Eredo ba a san shi ba a wajen ƙananan mazauna yankin da ƙwararrun masana tarihin Yarbawa.Shekaru arba'in sun wuce tsakanin littafin Farfesa Peter Lloyd na nazarinsa akan shafin da na Darling, amma duk da haka ya zama dole a sake yin cikakken nazari kan abubuwan da suka faru a yammacin Afirka.A cikin 2017,masanin fasaha Olufeko ya jagoranci ƙungiyar masu zaman kansu a cikin shingen da ke dawo da wurin da labarinsa cikin tattaunawar zamantakewa.
