Sani Zangon Daura An haifeshi a cikin garin karamar hukumar Zango dake a jahar Katsina, Nijeriya.Ya rike mukamin Ministan noma da raya karkara, daga baya kuma ya rike mukamin Ministan muhalli a majalisar ministocin shugaba Olusegun Obasanjo.An cire shi daga majalisar ministocin Obasanjo a cikin garambawul a ranar 30 ga Janairun 2001.[1].

Sani Zangon Daura ya fito ne daga shiyyar Daura ta Sanatan Katsina. Ya kammala makarantar koyon karatun larabci da ke Kano. Ya samu tallafin karatu don halartar Makarantar African and Oriental Studies dake Landan a 1961. Amma ya dawo Nijeriya kafin ya kammala karatun kuma ya samu shiga Jami’ar Legas . A lokacin Jamhuriya ta biyu ta Najeriya a 1979, ya kasance dan takara a zaben fidda gwani na Jam’iyyar National Party of Nigeria (NPN) don yin takarar Gwamnan Jihar Kaduna, amma ya sha kaye a hannun Alhaji Lawal Kayta. Kayta shi kuma ya sha kaye a hannun dan takarar jam'iyyar Redemption Party (PRP) Alhaji Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa .[2]

Bayan nada shi Ministan Gona a watan Yunin 1999, Daura ya gabatar da wata manufa ga bangaren wanda a wancan lokacin ya kai kashi 38% na GDP. Manufofin sun hada da kara samarwa da kuma habaka noma, inganta noma ta hanyar fasaha, rage talauci, bunkasuwar masana'antun agro, bunkasa fitar da kayayyaki da kare muhalli.[3]

A watan Nuwamba 2000, ya kasance wakilin Najeriya a taron Majalisar Dinkin Duniya kan Canjin Yanayi da aka gudanar a Netherlands.[4] Daura ya kasance shugaban kungiyar na 77 (G77), kungiyar kasashe 133 masu tasowa da China. A wani babban jawabi a taron ya yi gargadin cewa kasashe matalauta ba za su takaita hayakin da suke fitarwa ba har sai kasashen masu arziki sun cika alkawuran da suka yi a karkashin yarjejeniyar Kyoto Protocol[5].Daura ya ce Amurka ta haifar da "annobar canjin yanayi" mai lahani kamar mulkin mallaka na Afirka.[6] Taron ya kasa cimma wani sakamako.[7]

Daura ya zama mamba na kwamitin amintattu na kungiyar Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), wata kungiyar masu fada a ji a Arewa. A watan Maris na 2006, yana cikin shugabannin ACF masu tsananin adawa ga barin Shugaba Obasanjo ya sake tsayawa takara a karo na uku a 2007.[8] A watan Disambar 2008, Daura ya karbi lambar yabo ta Kwamandan Umarnin Nijar (CON).[9]
