Lagos–Kano Standard Gauge Railway

Titin jirgin kasa daga Legas zuwa Kano mai nisan 1,343 kilometres (835 mi) daidaitaccen layin dogo ne da ake ginawa a Najeriya. Bayan Najeriya ta samu 'yancin kai daga Birtaniya, layin dogo a zamanin mulkin mallaka ya fada cikin wani yanayi na lalacewa. Yawan fasinja a layin dogo na Najeriya ya ragu daga miliyan 11 a shekarar 1964 zuwa miliyan 1.6 a shekarar 2003.[2] Yawan zirga-zirgar ababen hawa ya kusan ruguje, inda ya fado daga tan miliyan 3 a shekarar 1964 zuwa kasa da tan 100,000 a shekarar 2000. A farkon shekarar 2013, an ɗauki sa'o'i 31 kafin jiragen kasa na fasinja su yi tafiya tsakanin Legas da Kano, a matsakaicin gudun 45 kacal. km/h.

Duk da cewa an fara aikin gyaran layin dogo na Cape, ci gaban tattalin arziki a Najeriya ya sanya ma'aunin ma'auni ya zama abin so.[3] A shekarar 2006, gwamnatin Najeriya ta bai wa kamfanin gine-ginen gine-gine na kasar Sin kwangilar dalar Amurka biliyan 8.3 don gina ma'aunin layin dogo daga Legas zuwa Kano. Sakamakon kasa samun kudaden gudanar da aikin baki daya, gwamnatin Najeriya ta yanke shawarar gina ma'aunin ma'auni a sassa da kuma gyara layin ma'auni a halin yanzu.[4]

Abuja – Kaduna

Na 187 Yankin kilomita daga Abuja zuwa Kaduna ne aka fara ginawa. Abuja ba ta cikin hanyar layin dogo ta kasa, domin an gina ta ne a matsayin babban birni bayan Najeriya ta samu 'yancin kai daga Burtaniya. [5] Kaduna wata muhimmiyar mahadar hanya ce ta hanyar layin dogo na Cape, inda layin reshe ya tashi daga Legas zuwa Nguru zuwa Kafanchan, a kan titin jirgin kasa na Fatakwal-Maiduguri. Aikin ginin bangaren Abuja-Kaduna ya lashe dala miliyan 876, wanda ya kunshi dala miliyan 500 na lamuni daga bankin Exim na kasar Sin da ma'auni daga gwamnatin Najeriya.[6]

Kamfanin gine-ginen gine-gine na kasar Sin (CCECC) ya fara aikin layin dogo a ranar 20 ga Fabrairu, 2011, kuma ya fara shimfida hanya a shekarar 2013.[7] Duk da haka, matsaloli daban-daban sun jinkirta kammala hanyar. ’Yan bata-gari ne ke satar kayayyakin jirgin kasa, lamarin da ya tilasta wa kamfanin CCECC gina katanga don kare hanyoyin. Lagos – Ibadan

An ba da kwangilar dala biliyan 1.53 a cikin 2012 ga Kamfanin Gina Injiniya na China don gina sashin Legas-Ibadan (156) km) na daidaitattun layin dogo ta 2016. Sai dai kuma aikin ya fuskanci tsaiko.[9] A ƙarshe an yi bikin ƙaddamar da ƙasa a ranar 7 ga Maris 2017, kuma an shirya kammala aikin layin dogo a cikin Disamba 2018. An jinkirta aikin saboda ruwan sama mai yawa a cikin bazara na 2018, kuma dole ne gwamnatin Najeriya ta tura sojoji don kare ma'aikatan jirgin daga 'yan fashi da makami.[10] Zaben Najeriya na shekarar 2019 ya kara dagule ginin, lokacin da kamfanin CCECC ya kwashe ma'aikatansa na kasar Sin domin yin taka tsantsan. A ranar 15 ga watan Mayun 2018, Ministan Sufuri na Najeriya ya rattaba hannu kan kwangilar dalar Amurka biliyan 6.68 da kamfanin gine-ginen gine-gine na kasar Sin don kammala sauran sassan layin dogo na Legas zuwa Kano. Ana sa ran ginin zai ɗauki shekaru 2-3 daga samun kuɗi.[12]

Haɗin gaba zuwa Warri

A shekarar 1987, gwamnatin Najeriya ta ba da kwangilar gina layin dogo na farko a kasar, wanda ya hada ma'adinan da ke Itakpe da kamfanin sarrafa karafa na Ajaokuta zuwa tashar jiragen ruwa na Warri.[13] Duk da haka, aikin ya tsaya cik kuma har yanzu ba a gama ba lokacin da aka bude layin Abuja zuwa Kaduna. Kamfanin CCECC ya dauki nauyin gina layin, kuma a ranar 29 ga Satumba, 2020, shugaban kasa Muhammadu Buhari ya kaddamar da shi a hukumance a wani biki na zahiri.[14] A watan Oktoban shekarar 2019, gwamnati ta rattaba hannu kan wata kwangilar dala biliyan 3.9 da kamfanin gina layin dogo na kasar Sin mai iyaka na China Railway Construction Corporation Limited don tsawaita layin dogo daga Warri zuwa Abuja, wanda zai hada shi da layin dogo na Lagos-Kanos Standard Gauge.[15]

Kammala aikin layin dogo daga Abuja zuwa Kaduna a shekarar 2016 ya zo a wani muhimmin lokaci na zirga-zirgar kasa a yankin.[16] Tun a shekarar 2009, babbar hanyar Abuja zuwa Kaduna ta fada cikin halin rashin bin doka da oda, yayin da ‘yan fashi da makami da masu garkuwa da mutane suka yi masa kawanya. Yawancin wadanda abin ya shafa dai manyan jami'an gwamnati ne, ciki har da babban kwamishinan Saliyo a Najeriya. Saboda tsoron kare lafiyarsu, matafiya sun yi tururuwa zuwa cikin jirgin.[17] Tallafin yau da kullun ya karu da kashi 270% zuwa 3,700, kuma ana zargin jami'an layin dogo da kama su da laifin cin hancin tikiti.[18] Sanata Mohammed Ali Ndume ya ruwaito cewa dole ne ya tsaya a cikin jirgin duk tsawon tafiyar, kuma Sanata James Manager ya ce, "Wanda yake son kashe kansa ne zai dauki hanya."

A ranar 28 ga Maris, 2022, wasu ‘yan bindiga sun kai hari kan wani jirgin kasa da ke kan hanyar Abuja zuwa Kaduna. Akalla mutane 8 ne suka mutu sannan aka yi garkuwa da 65.[19]
