James Shaibu Barka
James Shaibu Barka (an haife shi a shekara ta 1961) an zaɓe shi ɗan majalisar dokokin jihar Adamawa dake Najeriya, kuma aka naɗa shi kakakin majalisar. Lokacin da aka soke zaɓen gwamnan jihar Adamawa Murtala Nyako a cikin watan Fabrairun shekarar 2008, Barka ya zama muƙaddashin gwamna, inda ya miƙa wa Nyako bayan an sake zaɓensa a ranar 29 ga watan Afrilun shekarar 2008.

An kuma zaɓi Barka a matsayin ɗan majalisar Adamawa mai wakiltar Hong. A cikin watan Yulin shekarar 2003, a matsayinsa na Shugaban Masu Rinjaye na Majalisar, ya yi nasarar gabatar da ƙudirin rusa Hukumar Zaɓe ta Jiha, Hukumar Zaɓe Mai Zaman Kanta ta Jiha da Hukumar Ma’aikatan Shari’a, inda ya maye gurbinsu da kwamitocin gudanarwa da mambobin da gwamna ya zaɓa.[1]
Bayan kotun ɗaukaka ƙarar zaɓe ta amince da soke zaɓen gwamna Nyako, an rantsar da Barka a matsayin muƙaddashin gwamna a ranar 26 ga watan Fabrairun shekarar 2008.[2][3] Nan take Barka ya kori dukkan waɗanda aka naɗa Nyako da suka haɗa da kwamishinoni, shugabannin kwamitoci, masu kula da yankin, masu ba da shawara na musamman da mataimaka.[4] Barka ya miƙa mulki ga Nyako a ranar 29 ga watan Afrilun 2008 bayan tsohon gwamnan ya sake lashe zaɓen.[5]
A cikin watan Maris na shekarar 2010 ne majalisar ta zartar da dokar ba Barka fansho a matsayinsa na gwamna. An yi jayayya cewa dokar ta saɓawa kundin tsarin mulki.[6] A cikin watan Afrilun shekarar 2010, ana yi masa kallon zai iya tsayawa takarar gwamna a zaɓen watan Afrilun shekarar 2011.[7]
