An naɗa shi gwamnan jihar Kaduna a watan Agusta a shekara ta alif 1990 a lokacin mulkin soja na Janar Ibrahim Babangida, yana mikawa zababben gwamnan farar hula Mohammed Dabo Lere a watan Janairu a shekara ta alif 1992 a farkon Jamhuriya ta Uku ta Najeriya da ta zubar da ciki.
