Mary Nzimiro, sunan haihuwa Mary Nwametu Onumonu, (1898–1993) ta kasance ’yar kasuwa‘ yar Nijeriya, ‘yar siyasa kuma’ yar gwagwarmaya ta mata.[1] A shekarar 1948, an nada ta a matsayin babbar wakiliyar Kamfanin Hadin Kan Nahiyar Afirka (UAC) na Gabashin Najeriya, yayin da ta ke kula da kantuna da kayan kwalliyar nata na Fatakwal, Aba da Owerri. A farkon 1950s, tana daga cikin mawadata a Afirka ta Yamma, kasancewarta mazaunin keɓaɓɓen titin Bernard Carr a Port Harcourt.[2] A fagen siyasa, ta kasance mamba a cikin Majalisar Dinkin Duniya ta Najeriya da Kamaru, ta zama memba na kwamitin zartarwa a 1957 kuma mataimakiyar shugaban kungiyar mata ta NCNC Estern a 1962. A lokacin yakin basasar Najeriya (1967-1970), ta shirya matan Ibo don nuna goyon baya ga Biafra. Sakamakon haka ta rasa mafi yawan dukiyarta a Fatakwal kuma ta koma garinsu na asali Oguta inda ta mutu a shekarar 1993.

Mary Nwametu Onumonu an haife ta ne a ranar 16 ga watan Oktoba 1898 a Oguta, ta jihar Imo, diyar shugaban Ibo ne Onumonu Uzoaru, basaraken mai kula da mulkin mallaka, da kuma matar sa Ruth, wacce tayi fice a fagen kasuwancin dabino. Na farko a cikin yara shida, ta halarci Sacred Heart School a Oguta sai kuma Convent School a Asaba, inda ta kammala a 1920. Jim kaɗan bayan haka ta auri Richard Nzimiro wanda ya yi aiki a matsayin magatakarda na UAC.[3]

Mahaifiyarta ce ta koya mata kasuwanci, lokacin da aikin mijinta ya kai su Illah, ta yi kasuwanci da gishiri da dabino da ta sayar a kasuwannin Nkwo da Eke.
