Mahmud Kanti Bello (14 Janairu,a shekara ta alif ɗari tara da arba'in da biyar 1945 – 29 August din shekarar 2017)[1] dan majalisar dattawan Najeriya ne wanda ya wakilci mazabar Arewacin jihar Katsina, a karkashin jam’iyyar People’s Democratic Party, kuma ya kasance dan majalisar dattawa mai rinjaye. Ya zama Sanata a 2003 kuma an sake zabenshi a 2007. Ya wakilci shiyyar Daura tsakanin shekara ta 2003 zuwa 2007 kuma a karo na biyu bayan sake zabensa, daga 2007 zuwa 2011. Ya kasance wanda ya fara zama Manajan Daraktan a Katsina Steel Rolling Mill.[2]

An haifi Mahmud Kanti Bello a ranar 14 ga watan Janairun 1945, kuma dan asalin kasar Hausa ne. Ya yi karatun Digirinsa na farko a fannin engineering daga Jami’ar Ahmadu Bello da ke Zariya, Jihar Kaduna a Arewacin Najeriya.[2]

 
Jihar Katsina a Najeriya

An zabi Mahmud Kanti Bello a majalisar dattawa a lokacin zaben Najeriya na shekara ta 2003 a karkashin jam'iyyar ANPP a jihar Katsina. Bello ya yi kakkausar suka a kan magudin zaben na kananan hukumomi da aka gudanar a jiharsa a shekarar 2004, wanda ya sa aka mayar da ‘yan takarar jam’iyyar PDP. Sai dai a shekarar 2007 ya samu nasarar sake tsayawa takara a jam'iyyar PDP.[3] A tsakiyar wa’adinsa na biyu a majalisar dattawa, Bello yana cikin Sanatocin da ba su dauki nauyin wani kudiri na sirri kadai ba.[4]

A cikin wata sanarwa da ya fitar a watan Janairun 2009, Bello ya caccaki gwamnonin da ke rike da kudaden kananan hukumomi, inda suka sako su a daidai lokacin da suka dace, ciki har da gwamnan jiharsa, Ibrahim Shema.[5] A tattaunawarsa da kudirin dokar yaki da kwararowar hamada, Sanata Bello ya yi kakkausar suka ga Sanata Grace Folashade Bent, shugabar kwamitin majalisar dattijai mai kula da muhalli da matsugunai, wadda ke son shigar da wasu matsalolin muhalli a cikin kudirin.[6]

A watan Yulin 2009, Sanatocin Kudu-maso-Kudancin Najeriya sun gabatar da kudirin neman korar Ministan Man Fetur, Rilwan Lukman, da Mohammed Barkindo na Kamfanin Man fetur na Najeriya, bisa wasu tsare-tsare da ake zargin suna da alaka da Niger Delta. Sanata Bello dai ya ki amincewa da kudirin ne bisa wani tsari, inda korafin bai samu nasara ba.[7] A shekarar 2009, Bello ya kasance Amiru-Hajjin Najeriya ga Alhazan Najeriya zuwa Saudiyya. Ya ajiye tarihi inda a karon farko cikin shekaru sama da 20 daukakin mahajjata sun tashi akan lokaci.[8]
