Fatma Begum an haifeta a shekara ta alif 1892-1983 yar wasan kwaikwayo ce ta Indiya, darekta, kuma marubuciya. Ana yawan ɗaukar ta a matsayin darektan fina-finan Indiya ta farko mace.[1] A cikin shekaru huɗu, ta ci gaba da rubuce-rubuce, shirya fim, gami da bada umarnin fina-finai da yawa. Ta kaddamar da nata gidan shirya fina-finai, (Fatma Films), wanda daga baya ya zama (Victoria-Fatma Films), kuma ta shirya fim ɗin ta na farko, Bulbul-e-Paristan, a 1926.[2][3] Ta rayu daga 1892 zuwa 1983 kuma ta kasance uwa ga yara uku.

Fatma Begum a shekara ta 1925

An haifi Fatma Begum a cikin dangin musulmi masu jin harshen Urdu a Indiya. Fatma Begum ta auri Nawab Sidi Ibrahim Muhammad Yakut Khan III ɗan jihar Sachin.[4] Sai dai babu wani bayani da ke nuna cewa an yi aure ko kwantiragi tsakanin Nawab da Fatma Bai ko Nawab sun amince da daya daga cikin ‘ya’yanta a matsayin nasa. Ita ce mahaifiyar Zubeida, Sultana, da Shehzadi waɗanda dukkan su taurari ne.[1] Haka kuma ita ce kakar Humayun Dhanrajgir da Durreshahwar Dhanrajgir, da kuma diyar Zubeida da Maharaja Narsingir Dhanrajgir na Hyderabad da Jamila Razzaq diyar Sultana da Seth Razaaq, fitaccen ɗan kasuwan Karachi. Haka kuma ta kasance kakar kaka ga abin koyi da ta zama jaruma Rhea Pillai wacce diyar jikar ta ne Durreshahwar Dhanrajgir.[5]

Ta fara aikinta a matakin Urdu. Daga baya ta koma fim kuma ta fara fim ɗin ta na farko a cikin fim ɗin shiru na Ardeshir Irani, Veer Abhimanyu (1922).[1] Ya kasance al'ada ce ga maza su yi mata a cikin shirin wasan kwaikwayo na fina-finai, don haka ta zama babbar jaruma mace.

A cikin shekara ta 1926, ta kuma kafa kamfanin ta na shirya fim mai suna, 'Fatma Films' wanda daga baya ya zama sananne a matsayin 'Victoria-Fatima Films' a 1928. Ta zama majagaba don fina-finai masu ban sha'awa inda ta yi amfani da daukar hoto na yaudara don samun tasiri na musamman na farko. Ta kasance 'yar wasan kwaikwayo a Kohinoor Studios da Imperial Studios, yayin rubutawa, ba da umarni, samarwa, da kuma yin wasan kwaikwayo a cikin fina-finan nata a ƙarƙashin kamfaninta, (Fatma Films).

Begum ta zama darakta mace ta farko a fina-finan Indiya tare da fim ɗin ta na shekarar 1926, Bulbul-e-Paristan.[6] Duk da yake babu sanannun kwafin fim ɗin a halin yanzu, an kwatanta yawan samar da kasafin kuɗi a matsayin fim mai ban sha'awa wanda ke nuna tasiri na musamman. eorge Melies .
