Borgu (yanki)
Borgu yanki ne dake arewa maso yammacin Najeriya da kuma a arewacin jamhuriyar Benin. An raba yankin tsakanin Burtaniya da Faransa biyo bayan Yarjejeniyar Anglo-Faransa ta 1898. Mutanen Borgu ana kiransu Bariba ko Borgawa.

An dai sasanta lamarin ne da Yarjejeniyar (Delineation Agreement)[1] daga bisani Gwamnatin Birtaniya ta raba Najeriya zuwa yankunan Arewa da Kudancin ƙasar. Borgu ya zama wani yanki na Arewacin Najeriya Protectorate. An kafa ofisoshin Burtaniya a gefen kogin Neja da Jebba, Zungeru, Lokoja da Illo, kuma an kafa hanyar wasiku a tsakaninsu don sadarwa da Burtaniya.[2]

gyara sasheDuk da rabuwar su da kan iyakar turawan mulkin mallaka har yanzu ana ci gaba da musayar ra'ayi tsakanin kananan masarautun Borgu dake Benin da Najeriya. Manyan masarautu guda uku sune Bussa, Illo da Nikki. A al'adance ana ɗaukar Bussa a matsayin cibiyar ruhaniya ta Borgu, Nikki cibiyar ikon siyasa da Illo babbar cibiyar kasuwanci.[3]
