Kamfanin Jirgin Sama na Eagle na Najeriya ya kuma bayyana cewa yana shirin mayar da hankali kan jiragen cikin gida da na yanki tare da ci gaba da fadada zuwa Turai kuma a ƙarshe Amurka. Virgin ta riƙe kashi 49% a cikin sabon kamfanin Eagle Airlines na Najeriya tare da sauran kashi 51% da Kassy Olisakwe ke riƙewa.

A ranar 2 ga watan Yunin shekara ta 2010, bayan samun rinjaye a cikin kamfanin jirgin sama, Jimoh Ibrahim, sabon Shugaban, ya ba da sanarwar cewa kamfanin jirgin ya sami ƙarin canjin suna zuwa Air Nigeria Development Limited, wanda ake kira Air Nigeria. A ranar 13 ga watan Yunin shekara ta 2012, masu kula da jirgin sun dakatar da shi don binciken tsaro.

A ranar 6 ga Satumba 2012 Air Nigeria ta ba da sanarwar cewa gudanarwa ta kori ma'aikatanta 'don rashin aminci' kuma kamfanin jirgin ya dakatar da duk ayyukanta na gida, yanki, da na duniya. Ayyuka sun ƙare a ranar 10 ga Satumba 2012.

A ranar 19 ga Satumba 2018, gwamnatin Najeriya ta dakatar da shirye-shiryen kaddamar da iska ta Najeriya har abada. Ba a ba da wani taƙaitaccen dalili don dakatarwar ba.
