A 2005 Babban Bankin Najeriya ya ba da umarni ga masana'antar biyan kuɗi ta Najeriya cewa masu aiki su yi ƙaura daga ma'aunin magnetic strip zuwa EMV chip da kuma dandalin PIN nan da 2009. A watan Maris 2013, Discover Financial Services ya haɗu tare da Interswitch, wanda ya ba da damar karɓar katunan Verve a cikin hanyar sadarwar duniya ta Discover, wanda ke rufe kasashe da yankuna na 185 kamar yadda a lokacin yarjejeniyar. Ƙungiyar ta kuma ba da izinin karɓar katunan Discover da Diners Club International (DCI) a Interswitch-enabled ATM da kuma tallace-tallace (POS) don sayayya a Najeriya. [6]

Wani rahoto da kafofin yaɗa labarai suka fitar a shekarar 2015 ya ce "Bankuna 40 na Afirka ne ke bayar da Verve tare da sama da alamun biyan kuɗi miliyan 30 da ke yawo."[7] A watan Oktoba na wannan shekarar, Verve ta kaddamar da shiga kasuwar biyan kuɗi ta Gabashin Afirka tare da haɗin gwiwar dabarun haɗin gwiwa tare da Bankin Kasuwancin Kenya (KCB) "don faɗaɗa karɓar karɓar katin Verve da sabis na biyan kuɗi a cikin manyan kasuwannin gabashin Afirka guda shida", wato: Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Sudan ta Kudu, Rwanda da Uganda.[8]
