Kow Nkensen Arkaah (14 ga Yuli 1927-25 ga Afrilu 2001) ɗan siyasan Ghana ne wanda ya kasance Mataimakin Shugaban ƙasar Ghana daga 1993 zuwa 1997. Ya kuma kasance shugaban Senya Breku.

An haifi Kow Arkaah a ranar 14 ga Yuli 1927 a Senya Breku a Yankin Tsakiya na Kogin Zinariya (yanzu Ghana).[1] Ya halarci Makarantar Mfantsipim tsakanin 1941 zuwa 1946, sannan Kwalejin Achimota.[1] Ya ci gaba zuwa Amurka, inda ya sami digiri na farko a Kwalejin Tufts, bayan haka ya halarci Jami'ar Harvard don MBA a tsakanin 1952 zuwa 1954.[1]

Arkaah ya kasance Mataimakin Manajan Talla na Kamfanin Secony Oil Corporation na New York City. Daga baya ya koma kasarsa ta haihuwa. Daga 1954 zuwa 1957, Arkaah yayi aiki a matsayin Babban Daraktan Talla na Mobil Oil Ghana Limited. A cikin shekaru 10 masu zuwa har zuwa 1968, Arkaah yayi aiki tare da ma'aikatan farar hula, inda ya tashi ya zama Babban Sakatare tsakanin 1966 da 1968.[1] Shi ne shugaban Kamfanin Kasuwanci na Kasa na Ghana (GNTC), babban kamfani na kasuwanci na ƙasa a lokacin, kamfanin jirgin saman Ghana Airways da Hukumar Siyarwa ta Ƙasa ta Ghana.[1] A shekarar 1965, shi ne Babban Jami’in Harkokin Kasuwanci na kasuwancin Kasashen waje.[2] Ya kuma yi aiki a matsayin mai ba da shawara a Gambiya, Saliyo, Yugoslavia da Habasha.

Arkaah ya zama shugaban jam'iyyar National Convention Party (NCP) kafin zaben shugaban kasa na 1992. Jam'iyyarsa ta kulla kawance da National Democratic Congress (NDC) na Jerry Rawlings, da Every Ghanaian Living Everywhere (EGLE). A matsayin wani ɓangare na yarjejeniyar, Arkaah ya zama ɗan takarar Mataimakin Shugaban ƙasa akan tikitin Rawlings. Rawlings da Arkaah suna da alaƙar aiki mai wahala a cikin tsawon shekaru huɗu. Babban abin magana shine zargin da ake yi tsakanin su a taron majalisar ministocin a ranar 28 ga Disamba 1995.[4][5] Rawlings ya yi ishara da cewa akwai wani nau'in rashin fahimta.[6] Arkaah ya sa wa kansa suna "kyanwa mai taurin kai" bayan wannan lamarin.[1]

Arkaah ya zama shugaban Jam'iyyar Jama'a na Babban Taron da haɗin gwiwar NCP da Jam'iyyar Taron Jama'a suka kafa. An sanar da hadewar a ranar 29 ga Janairun 1996.[7] Arkaah, wanda ya ci gaba da zama Mataimakin Shugaban Ghana, ya tsaya a matsayin ɗan takara a zaɓen shugaban ƙasa na 1996 kuma ya sha kaye. An maye gurbinsa a gwamnatin Rawlings da Farfesa John Atta Mills, malamin doka, a matsayin mataimakin Rawlings.

Arkaah ya yi hadarin mota akan hanya a Cantonments, Accra. Ya mutu sakamakon raunin da ya samu a Atlanta a Amurka ranar 25 ga Afrilu 2001.[1]
