Kate Azuka Omenugha (nee Nwagwu), ta fito ne daga Ubaha Nnobi, wani gari ne a cikin ƙaramar hukumar Idemmili ta Kudu, jihar Anambara Najeriya. Mahaifinta Cif EB Nwagwu malami ne kuma tayi makarantu da dama a yayin da ake sauya wa mahaifinta wurin aiki, saboda haka ta yi karatun firamare a makarantar St. Mary's Primary School, Neni (1971-1972, Girls Practition School, Adazi Nnukwu ( 1972-1974) da kuma Primary school, Adazi Ani (1975). Ta fara karatun sakandare a Ojiakor Memorial Secondary School, Adazi Ani (1975-1976) sannan ta kammala karatun a Maria Regina Comprehensive Secondary School, Nnewi (1976-1980).

Ta yi karatunta a matsayin mataimakiyar malama a Makarantar Sakandare ta Metuh Onitsha (1980-1981) kafin ta samu shiga Kwalejin Ilimi, Nsugbe ( wacce yanzu take Kwalejin Ilimi ta Nwafor-Orizu). A shekarar 1983, ta samu takardar shedar kammala karatu a fannin ilimi a kwalejin ilimi ta Nwafor Orizu, Nsugbe, jihar Anambra ta Najeriya, sannan ta yi karatun digiri a fannin ilimi / Turanci daga jami'ar Najeriya a 1987 sannan ta yi digiri na biyu a fannin sadarwa a 1998 daga jami'ar.[2]Har ila yau, tana da PhD a Gender, Media da Cultural Studies (2005) daga Jami'ar Gloucestershire, United Kingdom.[3]

Omenugha ta kasance malama a makarantar sakandare a Queen of Rosary College, Onitsha na dan lokaci a shekarar 1988 kafin ta koma makarantar sakandaren 'yan mata, Awka Etiti inda ta shafe shekaru goma 10 kuma ta zama Mataimakiyar Shugaban makarantar, kafin daga bisani ta shiga tsarin Jami'a a matsayin malama a 1998. Haka kuma ta kasance Darakta, UNIZIK 94.1 FM, wani gidan Rediyon al'umma da Jami'ar ta ke kula da shi[4]An yi mata Kwamishina, a Ma’aikatar Ilimi (2014-2018)[5]Jihar Anambra kuma ta zama Kwamishinar Ilimin Firamare daga 2014 zuwa yau a wannan Jiha. Ita ce Mataimakin Shugaban (Kudu maso Gabas), Associationungiyar Masana Sadarwa da Communicwararru, Nijeriya (ACSPN).[6]
