Eskor Toyo

Masanin falsafar Najeriya kuma masanin ilimi

Eskor Toyo (an haifi Asuquo Ita ;[1] 1929 – 2015) ya kasance masanin Marxism ne na Najeriya, marubuci kuma malami.[2] Har zuwa rasuwarsa, Farfesa ne a fannin tattalin arziƙi a Jami'ar Calabar.[3]

An haife shi a shekarar 1929 a garin Oron na jihar Akwa Ibom, Eskor ya yi karatu a Calabar da Legas. Yayin da yake aji ɗaya a shekarar 1945, ya samu takardar shedar makarantar Cambridge da ta Cambridge Higher School Certificate wanda ya samu.[4] Bayan ya sami Difloma a fannin Gudanar da Jama'a, ya wuce Jami'ar London inda ya sami digiri na ɗaya a fannin tattalin arziki. Eskor ya ci gaba da karatunsa inda ya kamalla digirinsa na biyu a fannin Tsarin Tattalin Arziƙi na Ƙasa, MSc da kuma digirin digir-gir, PhD a fannin tattalin arziƙi.[4]

A matsayinsa na malami, Eskor ya koyar da ilimin tattalin arziki a wasu jami'o'in; Turai da Najeriya kafin ya zama shugaban sashen nazarin tattalin arziki a jami'o'in Maiduguri da Calabar.[4]

Eskor ya kasance ɗaya daga cikin jiga-jigan waɗanda suka kafa rusasshiyar jam'iyyar Marxist-Leninist Socialist Workers and Farmers Party of Nigeria.[5][6] Bayan fama da ciwon shanyewar jiki, ya rasu ne ranar 7 ga watan Disamba 2015 a Asibitin Koyarwa na Jami'ar Calabar da ke birnin Calabar.[7]
