Eric Opoku dan siyasan Ghana ne kuma memba na majalisar dokoki ta bakwai kuma majalisa ta 8 a jamhuriyar Ghana ta hudu mai wakiltar mazabar Asunafo ta kudu a yankin Brong-Ahafo akan tikitin takarar National Democratic Congress.[1]

An haifi Eric Opoku a ranar 5 ga Yuni 1970.[1][2] Ya fito ne daga wani gari mai suna Sankore a yankin Brong Ahafo na Ghana.[1][2] Ya yi digirinsa na farko a fannin Kimiyyar Zamani a Jami'ar Kimiyya da Fasaha ta Kwame Nkrumah a shekara ta 2004.[1][2]

Opoku manomi ne/masanin noma.[2] Kafin nadin nasa a majalisa, ya yi aiki a matsayin malami tare da Ma'aikatar Ilimi ta Ghana a makarantar firamare ta SDA a Sankore, daga 1997 zuwa 2000.[1][2] Ya kuma yi aiki da Kuapa Kookoo Ltd a matsayin Sakataren Raya Al’umma daga 1998 zuwa 2001.[1]

An zabi Opoku ne a majalisar dokoki a majalisa ta 3 na jamhuriyya ta 4 ta Ghana a matsayin memba na majalisar mazabar Asunafo ta Kudu a yankin Brong Ahafo na Ghana.[1][2] Ko da yake ya rasa kujerarsa a zaben da ya biyo baya, an sake zabe shi a majalisar dokoki a ranar 7 ga watan Janairun 2013 bayan da ya yi ikirarin lashe zaben Ghana na 2012 don wakiltar mazabar Asunafo ta Kudu kuma ya yi aiki har zuwa 6 ga Janairu 2017. An sake zabe shi a ranar 7 ga Janairu 2017. bayan babban zaben Ghana na 2016 inda ya samu kashi 52.97% na yawan kuri'un da aka kada. Ya yi aiki a matsayin Mataimakin Ministan Yankin Brong Ahafo daga 2009 zuwa 2013.[2] A cikin majalisa ta 7 na jamhuriyya ta 4 ta Ghana ya yi aiki a Kwamitin Kula da Abinci, Aikin Noma da Cocoa a matsayin memba mai daraja.[1] Ya kuma yi aiki a Kwamitin Kyauta da Kwamitin Wa'adi a majalisa guda.[1]

Opoku ya samu lambar yabo a matsayin dan majalisar da ya fi dacewa don ci gaban al’umma da karkara na shekarar 2017 daga Ofishin Bincike kan Mulki, Kasuwanci da Gudanarwa (BORGCA). An bayar da wannan lambar yabo ne saboda gudunmawar da ya bayar a ayyukan raya kasa a mazabar Asunafo ta Kudu.[3]

An zabi Opoku a matsayin dan majalisa mai wakiltar mazabar Asunafo ta kudu na yankin Brong Ahafo a babban zaben Ghana na shekara ta 2004.[4][5] Ya yi nasara akan tikitin jam'iyyar National Democratic Congress.[4][5] Mazabarsa wani bangare ne na kujeru 10 na majalisar dokoki daga cikin kujeru 24 da jam'iyyar National Democratic Congress ta samu a wancan zaben na yankin Brong Ahafo.[6][7] Al’ummar mazabar Asunafo ta Kudu sun ga wata ‘siket da riga' da masu zabe suka kada kuri’a a zaben yayin da dan takarar shugaban kasa da ‘yan mazabar suka zaba shi ne John Kufour na babbar jam’iyyar adawa ta New Patriotic Party.[4] Jam'iyyar National Democratic Congress ta lashe kujerun 'yan majalisa 94 daga cikin kujeru 230 a zaben.[6] An zabi Opoku ne da kuri’u 14,076 daga cikin 29,345 masu inganci da aka kada, kwatankwacin kashi 48% na yawan kuri’un da aka kada.[4][5] An zabe shi a kan George William Amponsah na New Patriotic Party, Jack Kennedy Brobbey dan takara mai zaman kansa da Fredrick Nkrumah na Jam'iyyar Convention People's Party.[4][5] Waɗannan sun sami 43.80%, 7.30% da 0.90% bi da bi na jimlar ƙuri'un da aka jefa.[4][5]

An kai wa Opoku hari a gidansa a ranar 25 ga watan Disamba 2017 a gidansa da ke Sankore a yankin Brong Ahafo na kasar Ghana.[8][9] Jam'iyyar National Democratic Congress ta yi zargin cewa maharan magoya bayan jam'iyyar adawa ta New Patriotic Party ne dauke da makamai. An kai masa hari karo na biyu, a ranar 1 ga Afrilu, 2018, shi ma a gidansa da ke Sankore da wasu mutane dauke da makamai.[10][11] Ko da yake ba a samu rauni ba, an yi zargin cewa maharan sun yi awon gaba da kusan GHS 10,400.00, na'urar talabijin da na'urar dikodi tare da lalata motocin Opoku uku.
