Charity Angya ta kammala karatu a Jami'ar Jos a shekarar 1983. [2] Ta samu lambar yabo da digirin digirgir a jami'ar Ibadan.

A shekara ta 2000 an wallafa wasannin kwaikwayo na Charity Angya a karkashin taken "Zagayowar Wata, da sauran wasannin kwaikwayo"[3] kuma a cikin shekarar 2005 an wallafa littafinta mai suna "Ra'ayin Cin zarafin da Mata a Najeriya" (Perspectives on Violence Against Women in Nigeria).

An naɗa Angya a matsayin shugabar jami’ar jihar Benue a watan Nuwambar 2010 inda take aiki.[4]

Farfesa Msugh N. Kembe ta karɓi mulki daga Angya a matsayin mataimakiyar shugaban jami'a a ranar 3 ga watan Nuwamba 2015.[5][6]

A cikin shekarar 2017, Angya ta taimaka wajen binciken badakalar jima'i a jami'ar jihar Benue.[7]

A ranar 1 ga watan Yuni 2021 Angya ta kasance a wurin taron mata da ke damuwa da yawan kashe-kashen da "makiyayi" ke yi. Matan sun haɗu a wani otel sanye da kayan makoki, inda suka yi kira ga shugaban ƙasar da ya ɗauki mataki. Masu magana da yawun matan sun haɗa da Mrs Rebecca Apezan wacce tsohuwar ‘yar majalisa ce da kuma Angya a matsayin tsohuwar mataimakiyar shugabar jami'a.[8]
