Bikin ranar Nupe rana ce ta gargajiya da kuma shagulgula, wanda ke tuna ranar da Sojojin Burtaniya suka sha kashi a hannun Sojin gargajiya a Afirka ranar ashirin da shida 26 ga watan Yuni shekara ta alif dubu daya da dari takwas da casa'in da shida 1896, lokacin da Masarautar Burtaniya da ke Lokoja ta kusanci sansanin Bida da ke Ogidi na Jihar Kogi ta yanzu wanda ya kawo sakamakon cin nasarar Birtaniyyan da kwace tutar mulkin mallaka na Burtaniya (Union Jack) wanda Sojojin Nupawa suka yi. Dattawan Nupe suka kawo shawarar gudanar da bikin na shekara-shekara, ba kamar bikin Durbar ba da kuma bikin jirgin ruwa na Pategi Ragatta wanda shi ma yana daya daga cikin bukukuwan Nupawa na gargajiya a Arewacin Najeriya.[2][3][4][5]
