Ranar Dimokradiyya (Nijeriya)
Ranar dimokuradiyya ranar hutu ce ta ƙasa baki ɗaya a Najeriya domin tunawa da maido da mulkin dimokraɗiyya a shekarar 1999, wanda aka yi ranar 12 ga watan Yuni.[1] Har zuwa 2018,[2] ana yin bikin kowace shekara a ranar 29 ga Mayu.[3] Al'ada ce da ake gudanar da ita kowace shekara, tun daga shekara ta 2000. Ranar 12 ga watan Yuni aka fi sani da ranar Abiola, wanda aka yi bikin a Legas, Najeriya da wasu jihohin kudu maso yammacin Najeriya.[4][5]

gyara sasheNajeriya ta samu ƴancin kai daga ƙasar Burtaniya a ranar 1 ga Oktoban 1960.[6][7] A mafi yawan tarihinta na 'yancin kai, Najeriya ta kasance ƙarƙashin wasu gwamnatocin sojoji, waɗanda suka shiga tsaka-tsakin lokaci na mulkin dimokradiyya (misali daga 1979 zuwa 1983 tare da Alhaji Shehu Shagari ). Babban shugaban mulkin soja na ƙarshe shine Janar Sani Abacha, wanda ya mutu kwatsam a shekarar 1998. Magajinsa, Janar Abdulsalami Abubakar, ya yi alƙawarin miƙa mulki ga mulkin demokraɗiyya, don haka aka amince da sabon kundin tsarin mulki a ranar 5 ga Mayu, 1999. An gudanar da zaɓe kuma aka zaɓi Janar Olusegun Obasanjo mai ritaya, wanda a baya ya taɓa mulkin Najeriya a matsayin shugaban mulkin soja.

A ranar 6 ga watan Yunin 2018, kwanaki takwas bayan 29 ga watan Mayu, 2018, aka yi bikin ranar dimokraɗiyya, gwamnatin tarayyar Najeriya ƙarƙashin jagorancin shugaba Buhari ta ayyana ranar 12 ga watan Yuni a matsayin sabuwar ranar dimokuradiyya ƙasar.[8] Anyi hakan ne domin tunawa da zaɓen dimokraɗiyya na MKO Abiola a ranar 12 ga watan Yuni 1993, wanda gwamnatin Ibrahim Babangida ta soke bisa kuskure. Daga baya an tsare MKO Abiola bayan da ya ayyana kansa a matsayin shugaban ƙasa a wancan lokacin.
