Daga baya ya halarci Kwalejin Kimiyya da Fasaha ta Fatakwal.[5] An shigar da shi Kwalejin Tsaro ta Najeriya a ranar 3 ga watan Janairun 1979 kuma an ba shi muƙamin Laftanar na biyu a cikin Rundunar Sojojin Najeriya a ranar 18 ga watan Disamban 1981.[6] Ya samu digiri na farko a fannin fasaha (BA) a fannin nazarin ƙasa da ƙasa da kuma digiri na biyu a fannin kimiyya (M.Sc.) a fannin dabarun nazari a jami'ar Ibadan.[7]
