Sir Dayendranath Burrenchobay, KBE, CMG, CVO, GCSK, (24 Maris 1919 – 29 Maris 1999) an haife shi a Plaine Magnien, Mauritius kuma ya kasance gwamna-janar na huɗu na Mauritius.

Dayendranath Burrenchobay ya girma a Cemetery Road, Plaine Magnien.[1] Ya yi tafiya zuwa London, Ingila don ci gaba da karatunsa. Daga baya ya kammala karatun daga Imperial College, London.[2]

Bayan kammala karatunsa daga Kwalejin Imperial, London ya yi aiki da Hukumar Kula da Wutar Lantarki ta Burtaniya.[3] Bayan ya koma Mauritius ya shiga aikin gwamnati a matsayin malami. Daga karshe ya zama Babban Sakatare a Ma'aikatar Ilimi da Al'adu (1964-1967). Hakan ya biyo bayan naɗinsa a matsayin Babban Sakatare a Ofishin Firayim Minista (1967-1976). Ya kuma kasance Shugaban Hukumar Lantarki ta Tsakiya (Mauritius) (CEB) (1968-1976). Ya zama shugaban ma'aikatan gwamnati kuma a shekarar 1976 aka naɗa shi.[4] A wannan lokacin ya kasance Sakataren Cibiyar Mahatma Gandhi (MGI).[5]

A ranar 17 ga watan Mayu 1984, an ƙaddamar da Dokar Gidauniyar Sir Dayendranath Burrenchobay a Majalisar tare da manufofin haɓakawa da ƙarfafa bincike a kowane fanni da ba da lada da taimakon kuɗi da ayyukan da ke da mahimmanci ga ci gaban tattalin arziki, zamantakewa da al'adu na Mauritius.[6]

Sarauniya Elizabeth ta biyu ta naɗa Dayendranath Burrenchobay ya riƙe muƙamin Gwamna-Janar bayan Henry Garrioch ya yi ritaya. Don haka Burrenchobay ya zama ɗan Mauritius na uku da ya riƙe muƙamin Gwamna-Janar na Mauritius bayan Mauritius Sir Michel Rivalland (1968), Sir Raman Osman (1973-1977) da Sir Henry Garrioch (1977-1978).[7] A wa'adinsa na Gwamna Janar daga shekarun 1978 zuwa 1983 ya jagoranci gwamnatoci biyu, na farko a karkashin Firayim Minista Seewoosagur Ramgoolam sannan Sir Anerood Jugnauth ya zama Firayim Minista. Burrenchobay ya gaji Seewoosagur Ramgoolam da kansa.
