An haife shi a ranar 22 ga Oktoba 1974 kuma ya fito daga Saboba a Arewacin Ghana. Ya yi GCE Ordinary Level a General Science a 1992 kuma ya sami GCE Ordinary Level a Business a 1994. Ya kuma sami GCE Advance Level a Business a 1996. Sannan ya yi Digiri a fannin Kudi da Banki a shekarar 2003 sannan kuma ya yi digirinsa na farko a fannin shari’a a shekarar 2014. Ya kuma yi digirinsa na biyu a fannin kasuwanci da E-Commerce a shekarar 2011.[1]

Ya kasance shugaban gundumar a ma'aikatar kananan hukumomi na gundumar Pru ​​West da kuma gundumar Pru. Ya kuma kasance Manajan gunduma na hukumar inshorar lafiya ta kasa.[1]

Stephen dan jam’iyyar NPP ne kuma a halin yanzu dan majalisa mai wakiltar mazabar Pru ​​ta Yamma.[4] Ya lashe kujerar majalisar ne da kuri'u 16,606 wanda ya samu kashi 56.7% na jimillar kuri'u yayin da Masawud Mohammed mai ci ya samu kuri'u 12,671 wanda ya samu kashi 43.3% na jimillar kuri'u.[5] A halin yanzu, shi ne mataimakin ministan tituna da manyan tituna.[6][7][8][9]
