Diallo ta sami digiri na uku a fannin haɓakawa da karatun birni daga Jami'ar Toulouse a shekarar 1984. Ita kuma mamba ce a tsangayar Kimiyyar Tattalin Arziki da Gudanarwa a Jami'ar Bamako, inda ta ƙware a fannin sarrafa filaye. [3]

A ranar 12 ga watan Maris din shekarar 2007, Diallo ta ayyana matsayinta na tsayawa takarar shugaban ƙasa . [4] Ta kasance ɗaya daga cikin ƴan takara 8 da suka fafata a zaɓen shugaban ƙasa na watan Afrilun 2007 . Har ila yau, ita ce mace ta farko da ta kasance ƴar takarar shugaban ƙasa a Mali, kuma ta kasance 'yar takarar ' Movement for Environmental Education and Sustainable Development '.
