Sherifa Gunu ta fito daga Masarautar Dagbon, a Yankin Arewacin Ghana, An haife ta daga gidan sarauta, ta fara kida da rawa tun tana ƙarami. Sherifa Gunu ya bar makaranta tun a matakin farko sannan daga baya ya shiga gasar raye -raye na yanki da na kasa.

Sherifa Gunu ta zama zakara na raye -raye na Yankin Arewa kuma na farko a tseren farko a cikin The Embassy Pleasure 1998, sanannen gasar rawa ta ƙasa a shekarun 1990. Daga baya ta halarci gasar rawa ta Hiplife ta 2003 tare da irin su King Ayisoba da Terry Bonchaka. Sherifa Gunu ya zama dan tseren farko ga Terry Bonchaka a wasan karshe na gasar.[2] A shekarar 2017, Sherifa Gunu ta fitar da wani sabon salo mai suna Salamatu, wanda kuma shine sunan sabon kundin wakokin ta. Ta bayyana cewa dalilin taken sabuwar wakar an gane da kebance wasu sunayen Afirka.[3]

Shahararriyar 'yar Afirka ta Ghana, Sherifa Gunu, ita ce babbar masoyan da suka taru a gidan wasan kwaikwayo na kasa don fitowar Zongofest, wasan kwaikwayo don girmama fitattun mutane na Zongo da kuma gano ƙwararrun matasa.[4] Sherifa Gunu ta yi wani wasan kide -kide na raye -raye a otal din Golden Tulip da ke Accra yayin kaddamar da babban taron sadarwar na Ghana da aka fi sani da ‘Corporate Wednesday’, wani shiri da ke neman hada dukkan masu ruwa da tsaki a harkar kasuwanci don sadarwa a tsakaninsu.[5]

Ta yi goyon baya ga Kojo Antwi, Amakye Dede, Daddy Lumba, Nana Acheampong da Sarkodie kuma a cikin duka ta yi kundi uku.[6]
