An haifi Phebean Itayemi a garin Esa-Oke, jihar Osun a ranar 6 ga watan Mayu shekarar 1927. Ta yi makarantar firamare a Esa-oke da Imesi-Ile kafin ta tafi Kwalejin Queen's, Legas don karatun sakandare. [1] Ta sami digiri a Jami'ar St Andrews, da difloma daga Cibiyar Ilimi a Jami'ar London . Bayan ta dawo Najeriya, sai ta zama malamar koyar da Turanci.
