Moses Olaiya Listen ⓘ (18 ga Mayu 1936 – 7 ga Oktoba 2018),[1] wanda aka fi sani da sunansa “ Baba Sala ”, dan wasan barkwanci ne, dan wasan kwaikwayo, kuma dan wasan kwaikwayo.[2]

Wani Yarbawa daga Ijesha, Baba Sala, wanda ake daukarsa a matsayin uban wasan barkwanci na zamani na Najeriya, [2] tare da sauran ’yan wasan kwaikwayo kamar Hubert Ogunde, Kola Ogunmola, Oyin Adejobi da Duro Ladipo sun shahara a wasan kwaikwayo da talabijin a Najeriya. Ya kasance fitaccen mai shirya fina-finai. Mahimmanci, Baba Sala ya fara sana’ar nuna sana’a a matsayin Mawakin Highlife, inda ya fito a shekara ta 1964 ƙungiyar da aka fi sani da Federal Rhythm Dandies inda ya karantar da kuma jagorantar wakar jùjú maestro King Sunny Adé wanda shi ne babban ɗan wasan guitar.[3]

An haifi Olaiya a garin Ilesha dake kudu maso yammacin Najeriya, ya taso ne a Najeriyar ‘yan mulkin mallaka kuma ya girma a lardunan Arewa. Mahaifinsa ya yi aiki a matsayin malami kuma daga baya a matsayin akawu kuma danginsa sun yi kaura sosai, suna zaune a Jos da Kano . Lokacin da yake matashi, Olaiya yakan yi wasa a aji, wani lokacin kuma ya kan yi ado da kyau don faranta wa mutane rai. Yayin da ya zabi ya bunkasa sana’ar nishadantarwa iyayensa sun bukaci hanyar da za ta kai ga sana’ar sana’a kamar likitanci ko doka.[4]

Olaiya ya yi aiki a matsayin mai duba lafiya a majalisar birnin Legas amma a matsayinsa na matashi mai sha’awar sha’awar sha’awar nishadantarwa, ya kafa kungiyar mawaka mai suna Federal Rhythm Dandies wacce ke da matashin Sunny Ade a matsayin mamba. Kungiyar ta yi taka-tsan-tsan kafin Olaiya ta sauya sheka daga waka zuwa wasan kwaikwayo, ya yi rubuce-rubuce da shirya wasannin ban mamaki kamar irin salon da magabata na fannin, Ogunde da Ladipo suka yi. Sai dai yana neman yin wani sabon abu, sai ya shiga harkar barkwanci ya kafa kungiyar Alawada. A shekarar 1965 kungiyar ta samu hutu lokacin da ta ci gasar da gidan talabijin na yammacin Najeriya ya shirya wanda ya kai ga kirkiro da shirin talabijin. An Kara sanin ƙungiyar a lokacin da aka nuna zane-zane na wasan kwaikwayo a WNTV. Babban jigon Olaiya a kungiyar shi ne Baba Sala, dan fansho wanda wani lokaci yakan sanya wando mai yage da girmansa da agogon tebur a matsayin agogon hannu. Ya ci gaba da habaka hali tare da halin zama duka bakake da dan leken asiri.[4]

A cikin 1982, Olaiya ya fara haskawa a babban allo a Orun Mooru wanda Ola Balogun ya ba da umarni kuma Olaiya ne ya shirya shi. Yana wasa da halayen sa Baba Sala, mutumin talaka ne wanda ya gina wasu dukiya yana siyar da kayan lantarki a cikin birni kawai don kwadayin taimako da shawarar babalawo. Fim din ya sami karbuwa sosai amma an cire shi wanda ya shafi rasit ɗin akwatin ofishin. Daga nan Olaiya ya ba da umarni kuma ya shirya fim dinsa na gaba, Aare Agbaye a 1983. Fim dinsa na uku Mosebolatan Ade Folayan ne ya bada umarni tare da Tunde Kelani a matsayin mai daukar hoto. Fim din ya yi nasara a fasaha da kuɗi. A cikin 1990s, Olaiya ya shiga cikin kasuwar bidiyo ta gida tare da Agba Man da Return Match guda biyu na wasan barkwanci wadanda ba su da halayen fasaha na fina-finansa na farko.[5]

A watan Oktoban 2018, Baba Sala ya mutu sakamakon abin da mai taimaka masa kan harkokin yada labarai ya kira "lalacewar tsufa". Bayan rasuwarsa, Best of Nollywood Mujallar ta sanar da cewa a yanzu za a yi mata lakabi da "Moses Adejumo Comedy of the Year" a rukunin "Barkwanci na bana" domin karrama shi saboda irin gudunmawar da ya bayar a masana'antar.[5] (((October 2018, Baba Sala died of what was referred by his media aide as "old-age related sickness".[6] After his death, Best of Nollywood Magazine announced that the category "comedy of the year" will now be known as "Moses Adejumo Comedy of the Year" to honour him for his contribution to the industry.
