Ƙungiyar Ibru, wacce aka kafa a 1956, ta zama ɗaya daga cikin manyan kamfanoni a Afirka. A shekara ta 1990 tana da ma'aikata tsakanin 9,000 da 11,000.

Iyalin Ibru mutanen Urhobo ne daga Agbarha-Otor, kusa da Ughelli a Jihar Delta. Shugaban iyali shine Cif Peter Epete Ibru, mai wa'azi a ƙasashen waje wanda ya yi aiki da yawa a rayuwarsa a Yorubaland.
