Farooq Kperogi

Ɗan jaridar Najeriya

Farooq Adamu Kperogi (An haifeshi ranar 30 ga watan Maris din Shekarar 1973) tshohon ɗan jarida ne kuma malamin ilimin hanyoyin sadarwa na zamani a kasar Amurka. Farooq yayi aikin jarida a gidaje jaridun Najeriya kamar Daily Trust da kuma tsohuwar jaridar New Nigerian ta gwamnatin tarayya da kuma Daily Triumph.[1]

Kperogi yana cikin masu rubuta jawabin shugaban kasa a zamanin mulkin Obasanjo, kuma ya koyar da aikin jarida a Jami'ar Ahmadu Bello da Kwalejin Kimiyya da Fasaha ta Kaduna. Yana koyar da aikin jarida a Jami'ar Jihar Kennesaw da ke Jojiya, Amurka.[2][3][4] Shi ne kuma marubucin (Glocal English: The Changing Face and Forms of Nigerian English), wanda aka buga a cikin shekara ta 2015, a matsayin juzu'i na 96 a cikin jerin Insights na Berkeley a cikin Linguistics da Semiotic.[5][6]

An haifi Kperogi a shekara ta 1973, a Okuta, karamar hukumar Baruten a jihar Kwara, Najeriya.[7] Ya halarci Jami'ar Bayero tsakanin 1993 zuwa 1997, inda ya samu digiri na farko a fannin sadarwa. Ya sami digiri na biyu a fannin sadarwa a Jami'ar Louisiana ta Lafayette da kuma Ph.D. daga Jami'ar Jihar Jojiya a Amurka a shekara ta 2011.[2]

Bayan kammala karatunsa a Jami'ar Bayero ta Kano, Kperogi ya fara aikin jarida a Katsina da Kano a matsayin mai kawo rahotanni, kafin ya koma Media Trust a matsayin wakilin rusasshiyar jaridar Weekly Trust. Ya kuma yi aiki da rusasshiyar jarida mallakar gwamnatin tarayya, wato jaridar New Nigerian, a farkon shekarun 2000. Kperogi ya fara aikin sa ne a tsakanin shekarar 2000 zuwa 2002 a Kwalejin kimiyya da fasaha ta Kaduna, inda ya koyar da aikin jarida da sadarwa-(journalism and mass communication). Ya kuma koyar a Jami'ar Ahmadu Bello da ke Zariya na ɗan wani lokaci a shekarar 2004.[3] A tsakanin 2002 zuwa 2004, Kperogi ya yi aiki a gwamnatin Shugaba Olusegun Obasanjo a matsayin marubucin jawabin shugaban kasa kuma mai bincike. Kperogi ya rubuta ginshiƙai biyu, “Politics of Grammar" da “Notes from Atlanta”, don bugawa a jaridar Daily Trust.
