Anthony Hamilton Millard Kirk-Greene CMG MBE (16 ga Mayu 1925[1] - 8 Yuli 2018) masanin tarihi ne na Biritaniya kuma masanin kabilanci wanda aka fi sani da ayyukansa kan tarihin Najeriya da tarihin mulkin mallaka na Burtaniya a Afirka. Bayan aiki a matsayin jami'in mulkin mallaka, Kirk-Greene ya zama ɗan'uwan St Antony's College, Oxford,[2] inda ya kasance malami a cikin tarihin zamani na Afirka daga 1967 zuwa 1992. Ya kasance shugaban kungiyar Nazarin Afirka ta Burtaniya daga 1988 zuwa 1990 kuma mataimakin shugaban kungiyar Royal African Society.

An haifi Anthony Kirk-Greene a Tunbridge Wells a Kent, Ingila a ranar 16 ga Mayu 1925. Ya yi aiki a matsayin kyaftin a Sojojin Indiya daga 1943 zuwa 1947 a lokacin Yaƙin Duniya na II.[2][3] Daga baya ya sauke karatu daga Jami'ar Cambridge a 1950 kuma a 1954 tare da Bachelor da Masters of Arts. Ya kuma sami digiri na biyu a fannin fasaha daga Jami'ar Oxford a 1967.

Kirk-Greene ya shiga Sabis ɗin Mulkin Mallaka, inda ya yi aiki a matsayin mai gudanarwa a Najeriya kuma daga ƙarshe ya kai matsayin Babban Hakimin Lardi. A wannan lokacin ya fara sha’awar ilimin kabilanci da al’adu da harshen Hausa. Bayan Najeriya ta samu ‘yancin kai, ya kasance babban malami a Jami’ar Ahmadu Bello da ke Zariya a jihar Kaduna daga 1961 zuwa 1965. Daga 1967 zuwa 1981 ya kasance Farfesa a fannin tarihi a Kwalejin St Antony da ke Oxford. Ya kasance mataimakin farfesa daga 1992 zuwa 1999 a Stanford Programme a Oxford.[4] Ya rubuta ayyuka da dama da suka samu karbuwa akan tarihin Najeriya da yakin basasar Najeriya da kuma kimiyyar siyasar bayan samun yancin kai na Afirka gaba daya. Har ila yau, ya rubuta wasu mahimman bayanai game da tarihin Hidimar Mulki.

Ya kasance shugaban kungiyar Nazarin Afirka ta Burtaniya (ASAUK) daga 1998 zuwa 1990 kuma an ba shi lambar yabo ta ASAUK ta "Distinguished Africanist" a 2005. Ya rasu a Oxford a ranar 8 ga Yuli 2018 yana da shekaru 93.[5]
