Kamen farfesa ce a Kwalejin Al'umma ta Arewacin Virginia (NOVA) inda ta koyar sama da shekaru 35.Ta ci gaba da shiga cikin ilimin STEM da tuntuɓar ƙasa.Ta baje koli a cikin ƙasa da ƙasa,kuma ayyukanta suna cikin tarin masu zaman kansu da na jama'a da yawa.Ta samu lambobin yabo da karramawa da dama.
Rayuwar farko da ilimi
gyara sasheAn haife ta a Philadelphia,Pennsylvania, Kamen ta fuskanci wahala a makaranta da kwaleji saboda dyslexia,wanda ba a gano shi ba sai daga baya a rayuwarta. Dyslexia wani yanayi ne na jijiya wanda ke haifar da matsaloli a karatu da lissafi, amma yana iya haɓaka wasu ƙwarewar sarrafa gani. Kimiyya ta burge Kamen, amma matsalolinta na karatu da lissafi ya sa ta yarda ba za ta ci gaba da aikin kimiyya ba. Masu ba da shawara a kwalejin sun yi tambaya ko tana da hazaka don zuwa kwaleji,kuma an shigar da ita a lokacin gwaji.Ta zaɓi karatun ilimin fasaha a Jami'ar Jihar Pennsylvania a wani ɓangare saboda ba ya buƙatar azuzuwan a cikin lissafi,batun da galibi yana da wahala ga masu dyslexia.[1] Kamen ya sami BS a ilimin fasaha daga Jami'ar Jihar Pennsylvania a 1972.[2]
Ƙirƙirar zane-zane ya ba Kamen damar yin amfani da basirar haptic,da shagaltar da tunaninta don ganewa da tunawa abubuwa. Kamen ya ci gaba da samun MA a ilimin fasaha daga Jami'ar Illinois a Urbana,pl(1973) da kuma Jagora na Fine Arts digiri a cikin sassaka daga Makarantar Zane ta Rhode Island (RISD) a cikin 1978.
Koyarwa
gyara sasheTun daga 1978,Kamen ya koyar a Kwalejin Al'umma ta Arewacin Virginia (NOVA). A cikin 1985,Kamen ya yi balaguron farko zuwa China.Bayan ganawa da fitaccen mai sassaka na kasar Sin Zhao Shu Tong, Kamen ta fara aikin musayar al'adu na hadin gwiwa na shekaru shida da koyawa yara kan ilmin kimiyya da fasaha da al'adun Amurka da Sinawa.Yawancin ayyukanta da suka biyo baya sun sami tasiri daga fasaha da lambuna na Sinawa da Japan.
Bayan fiye da shekaru 35,ta yi ritaya daga koyarwa a hukumance.Ta ci gaba da kasancewa tare da shirin STEM zuwa STEAM a Virginia,Maryland,da Gundumar Columbia. Ta shirya Shirin Ƙwararren Ƙwararrun Ƙwararrun Ƙwararrun Ƙwararru (ASSIP) a Jami'ar George Mason,inda masu horar da rani ke aiki a cikin ƙungiyoyin ladabtarwa da ke yin aikin bincike na kimiyya,kuma suna fassara binciken su da fasaha.Shirin ya jaddada haɗin kai na aikin ƙirƙira a cikin ilimin kimiyya da fasaha. Ta kasance mai ba da shawara don haɓaka darussan sinadarai ta kan layi ta Ƙungiyar Media Media ta Jami'ar Harvard. Ita ce mai magana a cikin jerin masu magana na Nifty Fifty Festival na Kimiyya da Injiniya na Amurka.

gyara sasheA cikin 2001 Kamen ya sami lambar yabo ta Shugaban kasa ta Sabbatical Award daga Northern Virginia Community College. Ta kasance mai karɓar Gidan Tarihi na Fasahar Fasaha ta Virginia, Fellowship na Gidauniyar Pollack Krasner, Fellowship na Strauss,Mawallafin NIH a Mazauni,Tallafin Ƙwararrun Ƙwararrun VCCS,da Taimakon Balaguro daga Gidauniyar Kayan Gida.
A cikin 2011,Kamen ya sami Farfesa na Commonwealth na Chancellor daga Tsarin Kwalejin Community Community na Virginia.Ta yi haɗin gwiwa tare da cibiyoyin bincike na ilimi da na kimiyya a duk faɗin Amurka,ciki har da Jami'ar Harvard, Cibiyar Fasaha ta Massachusetts, Cibiyoyin Kiwon Lafiya na Ƙasa, da Jami'ar George Mason.
A cikin 2012,9Kamen an ba shi haɗin gwiwa daga Cibiyoyin Lafiya na Ƙasa.
A cikin 2017 ta kasance Mawallafin-in-Mazauni a Cibiyar Fasaha ta McColl don Art + Innovation.

gyara sashePlatonic Solids ya samo asali ne daga tunanin Plato na abubuwa na gargajiya guda biyar:ƙasa,iska,wuta,ruwa,da ether.A cikin aikin Plato Timaeus(kamar 350 KZ),nau'ikan kwayoyin halitta guda biyar suna da alaƙa da daskararru da siffofi (cube,octahedron,da-tetrahedron, icosahedron,da dodecahedron ).A cikin aikin Kamen waɗannan polyhedra na yau da kullun,waɗanda aka ƙirƙira daga sandunan fiberglass da zanen gado na mylar,ana gudanar da su a kan babban jirgin saman bangon,yana nuna"tashin hankali da matsawa". Aikin ya bayyana a cikin 2011 a matsayin wani ɓangare na nunin Abubuwan Abubuwa:Masu zane-zane Yi tunanin Chemistry,a Gidauniyar Halittar Halitta,Philadelphia,PA.An haɗa shi da ɓangaren sauti ta hanyar mawaƙin bio-Susan Alexjander,Abubuwan da ke cikin Tsarin Tsarin Halitta daga Rushewar Taurari.Nunin ya kuma haɗa da hydrogen, Helium,Carbon,Nitrogen,Oxygen,Silicon, Phosphorus,Sulfur na Kamen.
Butterflies na Soul
gyara sasheA cikin 2012,Kamen ya sami kyautar haɗin gwiwa daga Cibiyoyin Lafiya na Ƙasa, kuma ya ciyar da ziyarar bazara da magana da masana kimiyya a cikin dakunan gwaje-gwajen su a Bethesda, Maryland.Wannan ilimin ya zama tushen jerin zane-zane,wanda aka yi wahayi zuwa gare su daga kwakwalwa,wanda aka nuna a Cibiyar Bincike ta Porter Neuroscience.
Aikin Kamen,Butterflies of the Soul ya sami wahayi daga masanin kimiyyar neuroscientist Santiago Ramon y Cajal, wanda ya lashe kyautar Nobel ta 1906, don bincikensa na tsarin juyayi na ɗan adam.Cajal ya lura da sel a ƙarƙashin microscope,sabuwar hanyar nazarin kwakwalwa da ayyukanta.A cikin sassaƙaƙen Kamen,zare mai kama da zare na“butterflies”perch akan intertwining kore mylar mylar da acrylic “reshe”.Sakamakon yana tunawa da tsarin jijiyoyi.Hoton Kamen yana yin wahayi ne ta hanyar zane-zane na Cajal na sel Purkinje, waɗanda ke da hannu cikin sarrafa motsi da ayyukan fahimi.
