Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, ɗan siyasan Najeriya ne kuma ɗan majalisar dattawa a Majalisa ta 10 daga gundumar Nasarawa ta kudu, ɗan jam'iyyar PDP.[1] Ya kasance ɗan majalisar tarayya a Majalisa ta 8, kuma tsohon kakakin majalisar dokokin jihar Nasarawa.[2]

Onawo ya kasance kakakin majalisar dokokin jihar Nasarawa kafin a zaɓe shi a majalisar wakilai ta 8 mai wakiltar mazabar Awe/Doma/Keana a majalisar wakilai daga 2015 zuwa 2019. A shekarar 2019, ya tsaya takarar Sanatan Nasarawa ta Yamma a jam'iyyar PDP amma ya sha kaye bayan an fafata zaɓe. Ya sake lashe tikitin tsayawa takara a PDP a zaben fidda gwani na shekarar 2022 inda ya samu kuri’u 88 inda ya doke abokin takararsa Mike Omeri wanda ya samu kuri’u 76. A zaɓen majalisar dattijai a ranar 25 ga watan Fabrairu, 2023, ya yi takara da tsohon gwamnan jihar Nasarawa kuma Sanata Tanko Al-Makura na jam'iyyar APC ya kuma kayar da shi. A yayin da ya fafata da tsohon gwamnan jihar kuma Sanata mai ci, Onawo bai yi kasa a gwiwa ba kuma an kiyasta damarsa ta lashe zaɓen. A zaɓen, Onawo ya ba da mamaki bayan ya samu ƙuri’u 93,064 inda ya doke abokin hamayyarsa Tanko Al-Makura na jam’iyyar APC wanda ya samu kuri’u 76,813. Nasarar Onawo dai ta kasance babban tashin hankali a siyasance a babban zaben 2023.[3] Onawo's victory was major political upset in the 2023 general elections.[4][5]
