Mary Grant (6 Agusta 1928 - 18 Satumban 2016)[1] likita ce kuma yar siyasa yar kasar Ghana. Ta kasance memba na Majalisar Jiha ta farko a Ghana sannan kuma tsohuwar dalibin makarantar sakandaren 'yan mata ta Wesley ta zama likita.[2] Grant ita ce mace 'yar Ghana ta uku da ta cancanci samun magani bayan Susan Ofori-Atta (1947) da Matilda J. Clerk (1949). Ta kasance dangin Paa Grant, wanda ake kira "uban siyasar Gold Coast".[3]

Mary Grant ta yi karatun sakandare daga makarantar sakandaren 'yan mata ta Wesley da ke Cape Coast,[2] kuma ta ci gaba da zama tsofaffin daliban makarantar da ta cancanci zama likitan likita bayan kammala karatun ta a Burtaniya.[4]

Bayan ta yi aiki a ma’aikatar kiwon lafiya ta gwamnati a matsayin jami’ar lafiya, Mary Grant ta fara harkar siyasa lokacin da ta nada Sakataren Lafiya a shekarar 1985.[5] Grant ya rike mukamai da dama, ciki har da Mataimakin Ministan Lafiya da Memba na Majalisar Tsaron Kasa ta Tsakiya (PNDC). Daga baya ta zama Ministan Ilimi da Al'adu sannan kuma memba na Majalisar Jiha.[6][7][8][9][10]

Ta jagoranci tawagar Ghana zuwa tarurruka da dama na kasa da kasa, da suka hada da Babban Taro na Hukumar Lafiya ta Duniya (WHO) a Geneva da Taron Yankuna a Afirka, Taron Bankin Duniya a Lafiya ta Afirka, Taron Alkahira kan Yawan Jama'a da Ci Gaba, kuma tana daga cikin wakilan Ghana zuwa Taron Duniya kan Mata da aka yi a Beijing a 1995.[11]

ta sa mu lambar yabo a lokacin bikin karrama matan Mata.[12] A babban taronta na shekara -shekara karo na 39 a shekarar 1997, Kungiyar Likitocin Ghana ta ba ta Takaddar girmamawa don nuna godiya ga “damuwar ta ga jin dadin likitoci.” A cikin wannan shekarar, ta karɓi lambar yabo ta Jiha don “ƙwararrun masu ba da shawara a matsayin memba na Majalisar Jiha”.[13]

Ta rasu tana da shekaru 88, a ranar 18 ga Satumba 2016 a Asibitin Sojoji na 37 da ke Accra,[11] kuma an yi mata jana'izar gwamnati.[4]
