An haifi Kaifala ne a Saliyo, inda ya tashi, kuma ya yi wani ɓangare na kuruciyarsa a Laberiya da Guinea. [4] Daga baya ya koma Norway, ya yi karatu a Red Cross Nordic United World College (UWC Red Cross Nordic), [5] kuma daga baya ya yi rajista a Kwalejin Skidmore a New York, yana samun BA a Harkokin Ƙasa da Ƙasa da Faransan, tare da ƙarami a doka na Al'umma. [6] [7] Yana da digiri na biyu a fannin dangantakar ƙasa da ƙasa daga Makarantar Maxwell a Jami'ar Syracuse, ya yi karatun International and Comparative Law a Vermont Law School, kuma memba ne na Washington, DC, ƙungiyar lauyoyi, a tsakanin sauran cancantar. [8]

Ya ci gaba da samo aikin Jeneba, ƙungiya mai zaman kanta tare da mayar da hankali ga canza ƙwarewar ilimi ga 'yan mata a Saliyo, haɓaka basira da ƙwarewar jagoranci wanda zai "haifar da tasirin zamantakewa a tsakanin al'ummomi". [9] [10] Kaifala kuma shi ne wanda ya kafa aikin ƙwaƙwalwar ajiyar Saliyo, wani shiri na tarihi na baka da aka sadaukar don yin rikodin shaidar waɗanda suka tsira daga Yaƙin basasar Saliyo. A cikin shekarar 2016, ya kasance cikin jerin sunayen 'yan takarar "Outlook Inspirations Awards", wanda aka fara don bikin cika shekaru 50 na shirin BBC World Service Outlook, da kuma girmama mutanen da "sun nuna ƙarfin hali da kwarin gwiwa". [14] [15]

A cikin shekarar 2021, Kaifala ya zama ɗan Saliyo na farko da aka karrama a matsayin Ford Global Fellow. [19]

A cikin shekarar 2022, Library of Africa and African Diaspora (LOATAD), wanda ke zaune a Accra, Ghana, [20] [21] ɗan Saliyo na farko da ya sami karramawa ya naɗa shi marubuci a wurin zama. [22]
