An haifi Emil Kwadzo Brantuo a ranar 31 ga watan Janairun shekara ta, 1938. Ya halarci Kwalejin Aikin Noma ta kasa kuma ya samu takardar shaidar aikin gona.

Brantuo ya yi aiki daga shekarar, 1993 zuwa 2005 don haka ya zama memba a majalisa ta 1, 2 da ta 3 na jamhuriya ta 4 ta Ghana. Ya kasance memba na National Democratic Congress kuma wakilin mazabar Buem na yankin Volta na Ghana. Siyasarsa ta fara ne a lokacin da ya tsaya takara a zaben shekarar, 1992 na majalisar dokokin Ghana, bayan a shekarar, 1996 babban zaben Ghana ya lashe tikitin jam'iyyar National Democratic Congress. Ya ci zabe a kan tikitin jam'iyyar National Democratic Congress.[7][8] Mazabarsa wani bangare ne na kujerun majalisa 17 daga cikin kujeru 19 da jam'iyyar National Democratic Congress ta lashe a wancan zaben na yankin Volta.[9][10][11]
