David Umaru (an haife shi a ranar 26 ga Yuli 1959) ɗan siyasar Najeriya ne, kuma shi ne Sanata mai wakiltar Neja ta Gabas ta Jihar Neja a Majalissar Dokokin Najeriya ta 7 da Majalissar Dokoki ta 8.[1][2]

An haifi Umaru a Kuta, hedkwatar ƙaramar hukumar Shiroro a jihar Neja. Ya yi makarantar firamare ta Methodist, Zariya. Ya wuce Kwalejin St. Paul, Zariya. A shekarar 1980, ya samu digirinsa na farko (LLB) a Jami’ar Ahmadu Bello da ke Zariya. An kira shi zuwa mashaya a makarantar lauya ta Najeriya, Legas.[3]

Umaru ya halarci kuma ya lashe zaɓen Sanatan yankin Neja ta Gabas a ranar 28 ga Maris, 2015 kuma ya kasance mamba a majalisar dokokin Najeriya ta 8.[4] [5] A ranar 7 ga Fabrairu, 2019, babbar kotun tarayya da ke Abuja, ta tsige David Umaru, a matsayin ɗan takarar jam’iyyar All Progressives Congress (APC) na yankin Neja ta Gabas a zaɓen 23 ga Fabrairu, 2019, inda ta amince da cewa Sani Mohammed Musa ne ya lashe zaɓen. zaɓen fidda gwanin da jam'iyyar APC ta gudanar a mazaɓar Sanata a ranar 2 ga Oktoba, 2018.[6][7]

A ranar 8 ga Afrilu, 2019 Kotun ɗaukaka ƙara da ke Abuja ta yi watsi da hukuncin da babbar kotun tarayya da ke Abuja ta yanke na tsige Sanata David Umaru a matsayin ɗan takarar jam’iyyar All Progressives Congress (APC) na mazaɓar Neja ta Gabas sannan kuma aka bayyana shi a matsayin Sanata mai wakiltar Neja ta Gabas.[8][9][10]

A ranar 14 ga watan Yunin 2019 ne kotun ƙolin Najeriya da ke Abuja ta bayyana Sani Mohammed Musa a matsayin wanda ya lashe zaɓen majalisar dattawa da aka gudanar a ranar 23 ga watan Fabrairun 2019 a yankin Neja-Gabas na jihar Neja, kotun ta yi watsi da hukuncin da kotun ɗaukaka ƙara ta yanke., Abuja, ɗan takarar jam'iyyar All Progressives Congress (APC), wanda ya lashe zaben tsige David Umaru.[11][12][13][14]
