EADB tana taka rawa sau uku na mai ba da bashi, mai ba da shawara, da abokin haɗin ci gaba. Bankin yana ba da samfuran da ayyuka da yawa waɗanda aka tsara don bukatun ci gaban yankin. Bankin yana da gogewa, goyon bayan kuɗi, ma'aikata, da kuma ilimin bukatun kuɗi na yankin. As of December 2017 watan Disamba na shekara ta 2017, jimlar kadarorin ma'aikatar sun kai kimanin dala miliyan 390.411, tare da hannun jari na kusan dala miliyan 261.36.l

As of December 2013, the bank's shareholders' equity totaled approximately US$166.03 million. In January 2013, the African Development Bank injected US$24 million into EADB in new equity, bringing its shareholding to 15 percent.[6]

A watan Nuwamba na shekara ta 2014, Ƙungiyar Cibiyoyin Kudi na Ci gaban Afirka ta sanya EADB, "mafi kyawun cibiyar hada-hadar kudi a Afirka" na shekara ta biyu a jere, tare da darajar AA. Bankin ya kasance mafi kyau daga cikin cibiyoyin 33 da suka mika wuya ga kimantawa.[7]
