Abakaliki (lafazi: /abakaliki/) birni ne, da ke a jihar Ebonyi, dake kudu-maso-gabashin Najeriya. Tana da nisan kilomita sittin da hudu 64 km (40 mi) daga kudu-maso gabashin Enugu.[1] Yawancin mazauna garin Abakaliki Inyamurai ne.[2] Bisa ga ƙidayar jama'a a shekarar dubu biyu da shidda 2006, jimilar mutane 151,723 ne. Birnin ta kasance hedikwatan tsohuwar gundumar Ogoja kafin kirkirar yankin Kudu-maso-Gabashin Najeriya a shekarar alif dubu daya da dari tara da sittin da hudu 1967.

Yanayi (Climate)

Yanayin zafin gundumar na shekara shine 29.69ºC (85.44ºF) kuma ya fi 0.23% sama da matsakaicin Najeriya. Abakaliki yawanci yana karɓar kimanin milimita 209.46 (inci 8.25) na hazo kuma yana da kwanaki 212.99 na ruwan sama (58.35% na lokacin) kowace shekara.[3]

Asalin Suna

Asalin kalmar Abakaliki na nufin 'Aba Nkaleke' kuma sunan wata alkarya ce a kasashen Izzi (Nkaleke).

Abakaliki ta kasance muhummiyar cibiyar kasuwancin bayi a karni na 17.[4] Cinikayyar bayin ya wanzu har tsawon shekaru da dama tare da hare-haren Aro a zuwa karni na 18.[5]

Akwai kungiyar asiri na Odozi Obodo Society wanda suka wanzu a tsakanin shekarun 1954 da 1958 a Abakaliki.

Abakaliki ta kasance a da cibiyar kasuwancin kayan noma kaman doya, rogo, shinkafa da su manja, man-kadanya da dai makamantansu. Kuma tayi fice a fannin hake-haken ma'adanai kaman lead, zinc, gishiri, farar kasa da sauransu.[6][7] Tana da filayen wasannin golf da kuma otel-otel da dama. Har wayau akwai gidajen gona na kaji da kwayaye a garin.


Yawan jama'a

Hasashen karshe da akayi akan yawan mutanen Abakaliki ya kai akalla 915,438 (a shekara ta 2019). Idan habakar yawan al'umma ya cigaba kaman a tsakanin shekara ta 2006–2015 (+15.31%/year), an ayyana cewa yawan mutanen Abakaliki a 2021 ya kai kimanin 1,179,280.[8]

Akasarin mutanen Abakaliki Inyamurai ne. Mutanen da suka fi yawa a garin sun kasance Inyamuran kudu maso gabacin yankin Afikpo-Abakaliki.[9] Ana amfani da kalman Abakaliki wajen nuni ga mutanen tsohuwar Abakaliki da suka hada da Ohaukwu-Ishielu-Izzi-Ezza-Ikwo

Abakaliki na nan daura da titunan Afikpo da Ogoja na jihar Enugu. Akwai asibitin gwamnatin tarayya a Abakaliki,[10] wanda ke taimakawa wajen harkokin lafiya na mutanen birnin da jihar baki daya. Akwai manya manyan gine-ginen zamani dake gudana a yankunan biranen garin, kamar tituna, wuraren siyayya na zamani da kuma kasuwanni.

Mutanen Abakaliki kamar dai sauran mutanen kudancin Najeriya Kiristoci ne. Sauran addinai sun hada da addinan Gargajiya da kuma Musulunci da makamantansu wanda ke da mabiya kadan kuma ba yawanci ba 'yan asalin garin ba.
