An kuma haifi Adamu Dan Maraya a shekarar alif dari tara da arba'in da shida 1946 a garin Bukur da ke cikin jihar Plateau. Bayan rasuwar uwayensa, aka fara kiransa Dan Maraya (an orphan) watau Wanda mahaifinsa ya rasu. [2][3] Da na kumshe da labaru a kan waƙoƙi ɗan rayuwar ɗan Maraya Jos, ɗan Maraya ya kuma yi suna kwarai a arewacin Najeriya, Nijer, Gana da Kamaru. Yawancin waƙoƙin ɗan Maraya suna bayani ne a kan al'amurra na yau da kullum da ke fuskantar mutane a ƙasar Hausa.Ya mutu ran asabar 20 ga watan June shekara ta 2015.[4]
