Ta kasance ɗaya daga cikin masu rajin kare hakkin mata a Guinea-Bissau a tsakanin mata daga yankin Bafatá da suka kaucewa kada kuri'a a zaɓe idan ba a saka mata a cikin jerin 'yan takara ba. Ta yi nuni da cewa, “Guinea-Bissau tana da yawan al’ummarta galibi mata ne, kuma abin bakin ciki ne ganin cewa ba su da damar da maza suke da su, musamman wajen yanke shawara, da a ce suna da halin da ƙasar ke ciki ta fuskar tattalin arziki da kwanciyar hankali da ya bambanta.”[2][1][2]
Ta kasance wakiliya a taron farko na Da'irar Mata ta Majalisar Dokoki ta ƙasa a birnin Quebec a cikin shekarar 2017, wanda ya kunshi 'yan siyasa daga ƙasashen Faransa, da suka taru don inganta karfin shugabannin mata na duniya.[3]
Tun daga shekarar 2016, ta kasance Sakatariyar Harkokin Hulɗa da Jama'a ta Ƙasashen Duniya a Guinea-Bissau.[4]
A ranar 3 ga watan Yuli, 2019, ta zama Ministar Harkokin Waje. [5]
