Ita ce shugabar tsangayar fasaha ta Jami'ar Abuja.[1][2] Ta yi aiki a matsayin Darakta, Cibiyar Nazarin Gabaɗaya a Jami'ar Fasaha ta Tarayya, Owerri.[3] Ta kasance Daraktar Cibiyar Nazarin Tsaron Jinsi da Ci gaban Matasa na Jami’ar Abuja.[3] A kan haka ne ta kira taron kasa na farko kan harkokin tsaron jinsi a Najeriya.[3] Ita ce tsohuwar mai magana a taron sadarwar mata ta kasa da kasa.[4] A cikin 2012, Ogwude ta kasance mai shari'a don lambar yabo ta Najeriya don adabi (Fiction).[5][6] Ana lura da ita a matsayin ɗaya daga cikin manyan masu sukar Najeriya.[7][8]

Na Advanced Studies, Zariya Fellowship Award, ta samu digirin digirgir a fannin Ingilishi a Jami’ar Ahmadu Bello da ke Zariya a watan Janairu, 1990.[3]

A shekarar 1984, ta kasance shugabar Sashen Amfani da Ingilishi, Sashen Harsuna, Kwalejin Advanced Studies, Zariya. Ta koma Jami'ar Fasaha ta Tarayya da ke Owerri daga 1994 zuwa 1996, ta yi aiki a matsayin shugabar sashin Ingilishi, sashin nazarin janar na jami'ar.[3][14] Ta yi aiki a matsayin Darakta, Janar Studies Division daga 2002 zuwa 2004 a cikin ma'aikata. Daga Satumba 2008 zuwa Janairu, 2014, ta kasance shugabar tsangayar fasaha ta Jami’ar Abuja.[3] Ogwude ya yi aiki a matsayin Daraktan Cibiyar Nazarin Tsaro da Ci gaban Matasa na Jami’ar daga 2016 zuwa 2018.[3]
