Shirin ciyar da abinci a Makarantun Ghana (Ghana School Feeding Programme GSFP) wanda ya fara a shekara ta 2005 [1] [2] a matsayin aikin matukin jirgi don samar da abinci ga yara a makaranta. [3] Sakatariyar GSFP ce ke gudanar da shi tare da haɗin gwiwar hukumomin duniya ciki har da Bankin Duniya, Shirin Abinci na Duniya, Hadin gwiwar Ci gaban Yara da UNICEF, da kuma kungiyoyin ƙasa ciki har da Hukumar Raya Kasa da Kasa ta Kanada (CIDA), Hukumar Raya Kasa ta Amurka (USAID) da Ofishin Jakadancin Holland. Manufar gajeren lokaci ta GSFP ita ce ta ba da gudummawa ga karuwar shiga makaranta, yunwa ta gajeren lokaci da rashin abinci mai gina jiki na ɗaliban makarantar sakandare da makarantar firamare. Har ila yau, shine don bunkasa samar da abinci na gida.[5] Don burin dogon lokaci, yana neman inganta tsaro na abinci da rage talauci.[6]

Shirin an yi niyya ne a duk makarantun firamare na gwamnati da makarantun yara a Ghana. Ya sami damar ciyar da kimanin yara miliyan 1.69, wanda ke wakiltar kusan kashi 37.4% na ɗaukar ƙasa.[7] Shirin ya samar da aiki ga masu ba da abinci 34,350 da masu dafa abinci musamman mata don ba su damar kula da iyalansu.[8]

Wasu daga cikin kalubalen shirin sun hada da amma ba iyakance rashin gaskiya da lissafi ba. Sauran ƙalubalen sun haɗa da manoma da ba su shirya sayar da kayan su ba saboda jinkirin gwamnati wajen sakin kudade.[9] Har ila yau, manoma wani lokacin suna da nisa a cikin iyakar masu ba da abinci.
