Mikiko Kainuma (甲斐沼 美紀子) (born 1950) is a Japanese climatologist at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. She is primarily known for her work on climate change and climate policy. She is a lead Japanese author on the 4th and 5th IPCC assessment reports.[1][2].

Kainuma ta sami BS, MS, da kuma Ph.D digiri a cikin ilimin lissafi da kimiyyar lissafi daga Jami'ar Kyoto, Japan. Tun daga shekarar 1977, ta yi aiki a kan gurbatar iska da canjin yanayi a Cibiyar Nazarin Muhalli ta Kasa (NIES), inda kuma a yanzu haka ita ce Shugabar Sashin Bincike Kan Manufofin Yanayi. Ita ce jagorar marubuciya kan Rahoton Bincike na Hudu da na Biyar na Majalisar Ɗinkin Duniya ta kan Canjin Yanayi (I.P.C.C).
