Jami'ar Hawassa (Amharic: ሀዋሳ ዩኒቨርሲቲ) jami'a ce ta ƙasa a Hawassa, Yankin Sidama, Habasha . Yana da kusan 278 kilometres (173 mi) kudu da Addis Ababa, Habasha. Ma'aikatar Kimiyya da Ilimi mai zurfi tana karbar ƙwararrun ɗalibai zuwa Jami'ar Hawassa bisa makin da suka samu a jarrabawar shiga manyan makarantu na Habasha (EHEEE).

Asalin Jami'ar Hawassa shine kafa Jami'ar Debub ("Jami'ar Kudu") a ranar 22 ga Disamba 1998 ta hanyar sanarwar gwamnati.[1] Jami'ar Debub da farko ta kunshi Kwalejin Awassa ta Aikin Gona, Kwalejin Wondo Genet ta Forestry, da Kwalejin Ilimi da Kimiyya ta Lafiya ta Dila.

An sake sunan Jami'ar Debub a matsayin Jami'ar Hawassa a ranar 17 ga Fabrairu 2006. [2]

An sake kafa Jami'ar Hawassa a ranar 23 ga Mayu 2011 a tsakiyar Birnin Hawaasa a jihar Sidama.[3]

HU tana ba da shirye-shiryen digiri na 81, shirye-shirye na Masters 108, da shirye-aikacen PhD 16. A watan Maris na shekara ta 2018, yawan dalibai ya kai 48,558.

HU tana gudanar da makarantun bakwai.
