Adan ya girma a Somalia . Ta auri Elman Ali Ahmed, dan kasuwa kuma mai son zaman lafiya . [1] [2] Ma'auratan sun haifi 'ya'ya mata hudu. [2]

A cikin 2014, ta kuma sami lambar yabo daga gwamnatin Jamus saboda aikinta da cibiyar zaman lafiya da kare hakkin bil'adama ta Elman.
