An gudanar da lambar yabo ta Afirka Movie Academy Awards a Yenagoa, Jihar Bayelsa, Najeriya, a ranar 30 ga Mayu 2005. Duk sauran kyaututtukan African Academy Awards kafin 2012 an gudanar da su a wuri guda, ban da 2008 AMAA Awards wanda aka koma Abuja, FCT saboda dalilai na tsaro.
